Hello there,

My name is Jessica and myself and my partner are trying for baby no.2!

My first pregnancy I conceived in 5 months.

I have been off birth control since February and we have kinda been Trying/ seeing how it goes. - if it happens it happens kinda thing. My partner is in the army so it is quite difficult schedule wise to find the time if I'm being completely honest.

This past month we have been trying around 3/4 times a week and Ive got regular periods and I track everything on an app. My period usually starts around the 1st of the month around the 29th day of my cycle. But my period hasn't come. I haven't had any spotting which I normally have just before my period. I've had all the symptoms for a period though but just no period.

So the 1st is when my period was meant to start and now it's the 8th. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests. One on the 6th and one on the 8th and both times negative.

I'm a little confused as to what is going on?

I did read that a lot of fitness can cause you to miss a period due to the amount of stress it puts on the body but what is "too much?"

I do exercise 1-2 times a week and go on a 3 mile run. Along with working 2 evenings a week.

Am I stating the obvious and putting my body under a lot of pressure? Because I honestly feel fine and fitness is a life saver to me - I've always been a fitness freak and it helps me keep balanced. Especially while looking after my 18month old.

Any advice at all?

Thank you
Jess

Late ovulation will cause a late period. There are several threads a day asking the same question, so from that, I gather it's very normal.

Tracking with an app just gives you averages - it doesn't actually tell you what's happening to your body during that cycle.
