Hi all, I was wondering whether any of you would have any advice. 2 months ago I lost my first pregnancy at 5 weeks and I’ve just found out that I’m 6 weeks pregnant (YAY!) but I can’t help but worry that the same things going to happen, so I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can offer some reassurance tia

Hi Vape,

I'm really sorry to hear you suffered a miscarriage last time. Congratulations on your new pregnancy! I'll be 6 weeks this Tuesday so we're due around the same time :)

Dcotors say that previous miscarriages are not a preurson to another, so there's not necessarily a link between having lost one baby and the likelihood of it happening again. Just try to relax and take each day as it comes.

Congratulations again!

*precursor, sorry.

Hi Vape,
So sorry to hear about your previous loss. I'm 7 weeks pregnant today and because I've had a little trouble falling pregnant (and bad luck in general) I'm also very anxious of MC.

I'm going for an early private scan tomorrow to measure the heart beat. I've read in scholarly articles that if the heartbeat is heard early and beating at the right pace for each week of pregnancy, this can be reassurance that the chance of MC will drop. I recommend doing this as you will have peace of mind :)

I found this website really helpful:

Basically odds presented in a really reassuring way. I hope it helps. Smile

OP I understand how you feel. But there is nothing you can do to change things so why not just enjoy your pregnancy and think for the best? Maybe get an early reassurance scan to put your mi d ar ease?
