A few questions ..

Does anyone know if regular yoga is safe during pregnancy?
And like swimming in public pools? I really have urge to go swimming. There’s a Health with swimming pool

Also.. massages, are normal massages safe or do they have to be prenatal/do you have to tell masseuse?
And what about facials?
And eyelash keratin treatments?

If anyone knows any info about any of this would be appreciated thanks:)

Unless you’re a very experienced yoga practitioner, generally it’s advised not to practice for first trimester. Speak to your teacher though, if they are Pregnancy trained they may be happy for you to carry on attending classes with some amendments, but you must tell them.

Some essential oils used in massages are not advisable in pregnancy. A therapist worth their salt should be knowledgeable about it.

Alot of spas also offer pregnancy massages as normal ones particularly around your back can induce labour,I had a normal facial but I told them I was pregnant so they knew not to use certain oils

I usually do yoga once or twice a week. My main session is Ashtanga, so fairly intense. I had to stop during the first trimester as was just too sick and exhausted, but have just started back at 15 weeks.

It should be fine even in the first trimester (if you can manage it) as long as you’ve been doing it before - I double checked at my booking appointment.

That said, you need a good teacher who knows which poses to modify and who keeps an careful eye on you for overextending as your ligaments etc will loosen further than normal.

Swimming is fine! Watch out for jacuzzis above 37, though you’re ok up to that for no more than 10 minutes after the first trimester.

You’ll need to modify your yoga practice, best to be clued up as not all yoga teachers are pregnancy trained.

General rules:
No twisting across your body (so that’s twisted lunges, seated twists etc)
No stomach work... come down through plank, knees to the mat, bench press an inch and then do a cow style stretch instead of cobra
No deep back bends like wheel, but you can do bridge.
I’d say be careful on inversions and balancing as your centre of gravity goes
And be careful about overextending in hip stretches, relaxin makes your joints more mobile, so I’d actively pull back from going too deep as you can injur yourself.

I would try some pregnancy yoga classes too !
