So I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my first child and I'm concerned about the lack of movement I've had , there hasn't been much at all and I'm worried , is this normal ??

I think I remember reading something that you need to start monitoring around 28 weeks. I remember at 20 weeks having some days where there was lots of movement and others not. It would worry me a lot, but I think at that stage there's quite a bit of room so baby could have moved position and less likely to feel movement

Though as always the advice should be: if you are concerned then contact your midwife.

Do you have an anterior placenta? That meant I felt nothing for a lot of my first pregnancy and made it very hard to monitor movements. Your midwife won’t mind you asking.

I felt a little bit bit from 18 weeks but have only really starting to feel what I would say were little kicks in the last week or so and I'm 22 weeks. Have you had your 20 week scan?

I didn't feel movement until 22 weeks both times. I think it is quite normal not to. My midwife said to start monitoring movement at 26 weeks, I assume as this is the common time that most people will have movements by. But yes, ask your midwife if you are concerned.
