Spare clothes. When they are older snacks. I also use my changing bag as a handbag so purse keys etc.

TheEverywhereBear · 03/10/2018 17:23

Lots and lots of nappies
Nappy sacks
Nappy cream
Baby wipes
Lots of muslins
Lots of spare vests and babygrows
Snacks for you!

Congratulations!

PippilottaLongstocking · 03/10/2018 17:30

when my boy was a newborn I carried
3-5 nappies
Pack of wipes
2-3 spare outfits
2-3 muslins
Water bottle for me
Purse/phone/keys/reusable shopping bag

Also bottles/dummy/etc if you’re using them

Wait4nothing · 03/10/2018 17:34

I use my change bag instead of a handbag.
For kids:
Change of clothes (1 full outfit for each kid, I keep in a ziplock so it’s easy to locate!)
Nappies, sacks, wipes, teeny sudocrem and antibacterial gel
Make up bag with my stuff (initially maternity pads and breast pads, changing to SAN pro after bleeding stops, pain killers, a cereal bar, spare daily contacts, tissues)
Muslins x3 and bibs (sicky baby)
Reusable bag
Hats (sun hat or winter hat - useful for if it’s chillier than you dresses baby for)
Suncream & snacks (for toddler)
Bottle, ready made formula and dummy for baby (but depends on how you feed)
Then add phone and keys

I keep it packed so as to leave he house quicker

I used to replenish the nappy bag each evening so that it was just a case of picking it up each morning.

peachesarenom · 03/10/2018 21:21

This has been great advice. Thank you xxx

Is there a type of bag to put used nappies to prevent the smell coming out until you can bin them?

MipMipMip · 04/10/2018 07:45

Very pretty choice btw.

peachesarenom · 04/10/2018 08:22

No, what do you recommend I use for that MipMipMip?

OP posts:
Bluebelltulip · 04/10/2018 08:26

Nappy sacks? Although while out and about there is normally nappy bins.

MipMipMip · 04/10/2018 08:50

Sorry Peaches, it was a genuine question. Seemed as if the knowledge might be useful to you too which is why I asked on here.

peachesarenom · 04/10/2018 08:52

Oh right lol! I thought you were wondering if something like that came with the nappy bag!

OP posts:
MipMipMip · 04/10/2018 09:05

That too. I'm actually looking for dog poo rather than nappies but smell reduction is suitable for both.

peachesarenom · 04/10/2018 09:54

Lol! I hope the baby poo isn't as bad as dog poo!

Fingers crossed for you. If it is I recommend clothspegs on the nose!
