Gosh, these seem super expensive.

I wanted a snuzpod but with the matress, waterproof cover and bedding it adds up to loads. Plus I'm expecting a big baby so who knows how long he'll fit in it?

What are you all doing for the first 6 months?

We had a family heirloom crib. That's the only place he slept. I don't see the need to keep them downstairs during the day, so he only ever slept in the crib. At 4 months he went into a cot, which was also in our room.

Hi @peachesarenom I really wanted a next to you crib but was out off by the price. Ended up finding one on amazon called the Miclassic crib. It looks exactly the same as a Chico but was £80.

I got my snuzpod off fb selling, paid £60 and it's in as new condition- just got a new mattress which cost £39.

Hi MagicalCreatures! Are you on the facebook group? Did you buy matching matress and bedding?

I’m going against the grain, but really not getting on with my next2me. DS is forever kicking his blankets off, and can travel all round it by kicking. He’ll sleep for 6 hours in the Moses basket but I’m lucky if I get 3 hours when he’s in the next2me. Plus I find it a huge hassle getting out of bed with it attached, especially in the early days post section.

MagicalCreatures · 03/10/2018 13:02

@peachesarenom no Hun. I’m not on Facebook unfortunately. Would love to join you girls on it but I hate thing 😂
The mattress comes built onto the base of the crib, but I’ve just looked as haven’t for a while and the price has gone up to £106. I got it when it was £100 but with 20% off offer on. The waterproof sheet is £10. And I just bought Chicco sized bed sheets for cheap x

Buy second hand and then get a new mattress. Much cheaper.

Also measure your bed height. Not all the bedside cribs go high enough for our bed.

What is the FB group people are talking about?

I got a Snuzpod off Gumtree for £90 which is good as new, along with a bundle of bedding from the seller which is useful as they are v expensive.

The only problem I can forsee is that we may end up needing a moses basket too, for sleeping downstairs in as well as the cot which is already set up in the nursery. That's a lot of expensive bedding.

We’ve got a tutti bambini as it folds flat and has a travel bag so can be used when we visit my parents. I’m not sure about having it attached to the bed though as I don’t fancy having to climb around it to get in and out so will probably just have it nearby.

I've gone for the hyde crib from mothercare

TheMagicTorch · 03/10/2018 14:19

This is the one I've been looking at:
www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/53/61214/kinderkraft-neste-bedside-crib-dark-grey/#

Bit cheaper than the others I've seen, and about the same price as the Next2me are going on facebook marketplace near me.

Local selling groups, Fuckedoff - you'll likely have one near you.

Hayleshob · 27/10/2018 17:20

Hi everyone, I've bought a Kinderkraft Uno crib, and I cannot find whether it meets British Standards. I've also bought a Kinderkraft Unimo 5 in 1, and I'm dubious about it not meeting certain standards that help prevent SIDS.

Any advice welcome. Thanks x

kmreeve · 27/10/2018 17:34

Meets European standards.. so a quick google says
