35 weeks - normal?

Is it normal at 35 weeks to not be able to get out of bed in the morning? I have two weeks of work left and after having just had a week off have no idea how I'm going to get through the next two weeks. I don't sleep at night as I'm so uncomfortable and have to pee every 45 mins, then alarm goes off at 6... it's torture. It's actually painful to get up and I feel nauseous. Normal?

Not sure if it's the week off that's done it but I'm absolutely exhausted.

Running commentary of my morning to bump thread.... went to toilet, put my head on wall and woke up 8 minutes later.

Bring on maternity leave!

I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and can totally sympathise I’m still puking my guts up every night and have severe nausea til the afternoon and have to get up at 6 also to get my child ready for school bus

Getting out of bed is a nightmare it’s getting harder to do everyday

Can you take maternity leave any earlier? I’m currently in the hospital having giving birth on Friday at 38 weeks, I am so so glad I took mat leave at 35 weeks so I had several weeks of rest and getting ready time

Aw I totally sympathise. I finally went on mat leave on Friday at 36+1 and I'd been more than ready for it for a few weeks. It wasn't so much the getting up for me, which was still hard, but as soon as I sat in my chair in the office I was struggling to stay awake for the rest of the day. Was tempted to throw so many sickies!

First official day of mat leave today and I'm up at 7.30 scrubbing the oven and defrosting the freezer!!!

The worst bit is the breathlessness. Baby hasn't dropped yet and can barely breathe. Can feel baby in my ribs. I'm actually out of breath rolling over at night! Then feel like I'm going to be sick all day because I'm so knackered. I could leave now but if I'm overdue I've then used up to 7 weeks of my already short maternity leave without a baby!

Yes that was me! I really struggled at that stage. Can you work remotely? It was a life saver.

And my bump just suddenly dropped at 37+4. So much better!

ShakenSally · 01/10/2018 09:27

@BumbleNova how do you know baby is engaging? I can't wait! I've gone from gym 5x per week to not being able to walk to the stairs without having to sit down!!

Not sure - some days the waddle is worse than others... Yeah I know the feeling. I've given up on the gym and I'm doing yoga. It's all I can manage.
