Currently 36 weeks pregnant and I didn't get the downs blood test at my 12 week scan, starting to worry a little bit. But I was wondering if they can tell from your ultrasound and not just a blood test ?
This is second pregnancy and I was low risk for my first

I've also had a 4D scan so wondering if there would of been anything picked up from that ?

Did you have the 20 week anomaly scan?

Hi the only way to tell for sure is not a blood test, it's by CVS or amnio.

There are some possible soft indicators (i.e. a visual sign that can be detected by scan), but they aren't determinative. Other than the neuchal fold size which they won't take as a soft indicator after 14 weeks, the NHS doesn't look at any other soft indicators eg whether there is a nasal bone.

However some private places where you have a consultant scanning you, will. Eg, Fetal Medicine Centre. They would still tell you that the only way to be certain, is to have the CVS or amnio test though. Some people who have come out low risk on either NHS bloods or even the Harmony Test, have had babies with Downs, although latter is very rare.

The chances are that your baby doesn't have Downs Syndrome of course.
