Hi just really need a moan as feeling sorry for myself. Had really bad pain in the right side of my back since friday, Sat afternoon pain was bad and was having trouble peeing
I phoned Nhs 24 so i can go see a doctor, explained on phone the situation and she was convinced i was having contractions/early labour! I've have 2ds's and was absolutely 100% sure it was not labour. Was told to phone labour ward.
Phoned labour ward they said they'd see me but didn't really think they needed to I didn't want to go to hospital as its a 40 min drive and then to be strapped to a monitor for hours was the last thing i wanted. i said i would hold off til Monday go to my own Gp, by this point i was in tears with the pain.
Go to the Gp today checked my urine and felt my back and stuff and it is a kidney infection...which was prob just a UTI over weekend.
So now on antibiotics which may or may not work he said, have to go back on Thursday when my sample comes back. I'm having to wear a pad as i'm constantly damp have no control And i'm scared i might be one of the rare cases of prem labour due to the infection.
Also still have my two little boys to look after so can't lie down and i have the cold!

Sorry its so long but i'm miserable and needed to get it off my chest!

Constantly damp and no control, are you sure it is not your waters?? Is it only since you have had the pain that you are damp? If so hotfoot it to the labour ward.

Agree it might be your waters. Get that checked out, mine broke at 22 weeks but I was lucky and didn't go into labour. Had to be closely watched for infection though and weekly blood tests and scans.

Really gonna embaress my self now... but my pelvic floor isn't what it was, and the fact i can only manage a dribble when i go to the toilet i think this is what is causin the dampness!

i hope.

If you have any doubt get checked out, a speculum exam can be helpful and could rule out waters. It really is worth erring on the side of caution.

I was dubious when my waters went. Felt a small gush on the Friday when I was at school waiting for dd but then nothing else. It prayed on my mind and then had some more leakage, just small amounts, over the weekend and called on the Monday. Called up the mfau and was told to go in. I was checked and the doctor saw fluid coming from my cervix and so from then on it was a bit of a nightmare.

I had steroids, antibiotics etc and as I said was watched closely. Hope it's not your waters but please get checked out tomorrow!!

agree with the others, get it checked in case it's your waters. My waters broke in hospital, then some more kept dribbling out, so I thought I had weed myself, but turned out it was more of my waters.
