I'm 31 weeks pregnant and so tired all the time, I don't have trouble falling asleep but staying asleep from the early hours I'm constantly tossing and turning. Any advice? Anyone else the same? Its only been the last couple of weeks.

No advice unfortunately, I had a similar problem when I was far along in my last pregnacy, except I couldn't fall asleep, no trouble staying asleep once I'd dropped off. It's a nightmare isn't it? Can't get comfy, heartburn as soon as you lie down, constant toilet trips, baby doing acrobatics in your tummy 😂 I'm 9 weeks along now and not looking forward to all of that, especially not being able to sleep on my tummy. The only thing I would say is if you have a few weeks of mat leave before baby comes, and you have no other children, try and nap during the day if youve had a really bad nights sleep the night before, I found it easier to get comfy during day time naps since I had the bed to myself as OH was at work, and baby was less active during he day. You're gonna need the energy for birth and when bubs arrives, if you can't sleep just try and lie down and rest as much as possible.

I m 37 weeks and have the exact same problem, I ll be tired and fall asleep but I ll wake up a few hours later and be wide awake! Heartburn will kick in and that will keep me up for longer then I have to force myself to fall back to sleep, it could be to do with temperature, some nights I wake up sweating but then I get cold when I take the covers off, so I ve started going to sleep with a thin blanket then when my partner wakes up to get a drink of water o ve told him to put the quilt on me.
I hope this passes for you xx

37 weeks and feeling the same! I think it’s just one of those things we have to put up with unfortunately Sad I’ve found that it’s better to get up and have a drink (and gaviscon) and maybe have half an hour on the sofa watching telly or reading before trying to get back to sleep. Also I don’t nap during the day no matter how tired I am, I find it just makes the cycle repeat the next night. My advice is just try out a few different things like I did (getting out of bed when I can’t sleep and no naps) because unfortunately there’s nothing you can really do. Fingers crossed you find something that helps!
