Pain in calf, DVT or pulled muscle?

I've been away for work this week and it has involved walking up a moderate hill each day to get back to the hotel. I've been desk bound for 8-9 hours a day with no real breaks other than to get a drink or go to the toilet. My ankles were very swollen Wednesday and Thursday afternoon/evenings. I slept with my legs up on pillows and they'd go down by morning but swell up again over the course of the day. The last couple of days I've noticed a tenderness in my right calf, today it's gradually gotten worse and is now painful to touch, I had to drive 200 miles home today which hasn't helped. Both of my legs are swollen from the knee down, but if anything the left is worse rather than the right. When I point my toes up it feels like a stretched muscle or the feeling you get after you've had a bad cramp. I did have a bit of a cramp earlier in the week and can be prone to them at the best of times. So have I just had cramp overnight and am feeling the effects of that and walking uphill with a heavy backpack or is this DVT? I also flew back from Portugal nine days ago.

Cant really comment OP other than to say why take any risk? Phone NHS and ask, they’ll say if you need to be checked over. Always better to be safe!

I have had Pulmonary embolism and had no symptoms of a leg clot....are you breathless at all particularly in your sleep? Racing heart for no reason?
Please get checked also measure your calf where the swelling is and the same on the other leg - if there is an appreciable difference you should be checked.,but to be honest I’d get checked anyway

Don’t take a risk. Get checked. Does it feel hot to the touch? Measure both calves at the widest part. Is one bigger than the other? All the driving and sitting is not good for a pregnant woman. But I think you know this. Get up and walk around at least every half hour.

@CrimsonFootstool unfortunately the nature of my job just doesn't accommodate it, when we are deployed it's incredibly fast paced with very tight deadlines. I've got shorter conference type events the next two weeks which will be more flexible and two weeks off after that so that should help.

It's no warmer than my other leg and doesn't look any bigger.

No breathlessness unless walking up hill or lots of stairs and trying to chat at the same time, then a bit, but no resting heart racing.

My midwife is impossible to contact and at this time my only option would be A&E which will be full of nightmares on a Friday night. I was thinking about calling 111 but think they might tell me to go to a and e just to be overly cautious, I'm so tired I just can't face it ☹️
