6 months pregnant and getting very achey feet... any tips?!

I'm often needing to be on my feet at work and also have a 2 year old so I'm constantly chasing after him. I'm slightly over weight, even pre pregnancy, so it probably doesn't help. But I'm getting incredibly tired feet after standing/ walking for even short periods. I can't remember this being as much of an issue in my first pregnancy. Feet aren't that swollen, just achey. Part of the issue is definitely down to unsupportive shoes (espadrills and converse type trainers). I do have new balance trainers but they're not appropriate for work and also would look silly with lots of my clothes. I tend to wear a lot of skirt/leggings or jersey dresses with leggings. Anyone got any tips for ways to relieve this / recommendations for smartish trainers that are comfy but not actual running trainers? Thanks!

Skechers do some smart-looking trainers / casual shoes, some are like walking on a yoga mat - I think they are called Goga or GoWalk or something. I am practically living in mine at the moment Smile

You can get good deals if you live near a Skechers outlet like McArthur Glen or similar.

The scholl gel insoles are great and workmwell in converse type shoes.

I have bought some cheap fake sketchers from show zone £12.99 and the best thing I ever did. They’re supportive and so comfy they look a bit goofy but who cares lol
I work 13 hour shifts so am constantly on my feet also 6 months pregnant xx

I second Sketchers. I wish I had a pair in my last pregnancy! You can shop around to get them cheaper than in the shops. There's a site called m and m direct that do some cheaper, although haven't ordered for a while. Xx

Oops, sorry about the kisses! For a brief second I though I was sending a text!!! Confused

Haha Mymum.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into insoles and sketchers, although thinking I might need to invest in comfy boots for winter. I was eyeing up the gowalks (Or whatever they're called) but not sure they'd be practical in winter

Soaking feet every evening in Epsom salts and warm water can help.
