Help me choose a baby bouncer

Currently looking at these. Which would you choose?
Is a swing / automatic bouncer necessary or do manual ones do just as well?

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’re looking for bouncers, we’ve recently updated our best baby bouncer page with lots of great options tried and tested by MNHQ and real parents. We hope you find it useful.

Definitely get automatic. But I (my babies) prefer a swing anyway.

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem · 18/09/2018 07:56

I had one of these swinging chairs

fisher price swing

Both my babies loved it and would nod off in it. But I bought it second hand for £20 (and sold it on for £25!)

If you want a bouncer I would recommend the Baby Bjorn one, but they're pricey so again look for second hand .

Baby bjorn bouncers are the best

LetsHaveAnotherGo · 18/09/2018 08:09

We have a Mama Roo which is expensive, but very pricey.

Was one of the few things we actually bought though.

LetsHaveAnotherGo · 18/09/2018 08:09

*which is great, but expensive/pricey Grin sorry still half asleep here.

mrs2468 · 18/09/2018 08:24

Personally I would go for one with brighter colours. Battery operated ones are fine that vibrate you don't need to spend a fortune

Minimonkeysmum · 18/09/2018 09:23

Baby bjorn ones are great - and you can pick them up second hand for a really reasonable price. Our little ones have loved it , easy to bounce themselves and doesn't make any noise.

MagicalCreatures · 18/09/2018 13:20

I’ve got the 3rd one (with the mint green on it) haven’t used it yet as baby’s not here yet but it’s lovely quality.
Don’t know how much you’ve found it for but I found it cheapest from Smythstoys online at £39.99.
I didn’t want a proper swing as I didn’t want baby to get used to needing the movement to sleep x

Hello!

We recently reviewed the baby bouncers available and picked our winner - you can see in the video why we decided it was the best on the market -

Baby Bjorn Balance Bouncers are great.

No batteries (no horrendous lights or noise!) - fold flat and last well until toddler hood as a stand alone chair.

Ours is going to be used for it's 3rd child and still going strong.

They have a good resale price to.

SinkGirl · 18/09/2018 14:28

If you want a swing, the 4Moms Rockaroo is brilliant.

If you want a bouncer, the Baby Bjorn balance are brilliant and lasted my twins until 18 months, we used them every day.
