Just a bit of advice needed really, had a scan at 20 weeks and all was normal regarding placenta. Was told it was anterior but not particularly low.
At 35 weeks I had reduced movements on and off so was referred for a growth scan where it was discovered the placenta is "abutting" the cervix?! From what I've worked out this means the placenta is sat next to the cervix rather than over. I was only told this a week later by my own midwife. She seems very unconcerned about it and said vaginal delivery will be ok but she would not be happy performing a sweep due to the risk of catching the placenta, also she has spoken to a Dr at the hospital who advised to have another scan this week(37 weeks) and see what's happening from there .
I've obviously googled and scared myself silly, but I am concerned that they're going to leave me to have a normal birth and something is going to go wrong I.e heavy blood loss etc.
Anyone had anything similar that can put my mind at rest?!
