Please tell me it will stop soon!

Very little vomiting but constant nausea and lots of dry heaving.

This is a much wanted pregnancy and I have been told it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy so I feel bad complaining because I desperate,y want a healthy, sticky baby after a miscarriage. But please tell me it will stop!

I can't tell you if it will stop but I can say I'm in exactly your shoes so I know how it feels :(

A much wanted pregnancy too but so far every part of its been a struggle. I think the hardest part is not being able to tell anyone and having to go to work when you feel sick and tried and have horrendous headaches and can't poo 🙈

The things that are keeping me going is being on lots of apps reminding me of the babies size and what its developments are this week. And the thought of a nice bath at the end of the day and an early night.

It's like we have to drag ourselves through this part but I hear it gets better at 12-14 weeks for some people longer.

Best of luck! Xx

35 weeks in and mine is still horrendous. Not HG as I can eat. Fingers crossed for you ladies! I heard most people’s stop at 12 weeks x

I feel for you, I had this with all 3 pregnancies, doesn't help much at the moment but believe me it is sooooo worth it! Is this your first OP? If so enjoy the chance to relax when you can, the only thing you can do is go with what you feel your body needs, eat what you fancy eating, sleep when you need to etc and don't feel guilty. It's really tough feeling sick all the time.

I was actually sick roughly 10 times a day, even through the night sometimes, it was horrendous and I even lost sight of the fact I was actually pregnant sometimes! As Louisa148 says, look up what stage the baby is at, look for name/nursery ideas etc to help distract your mind and get excited about what is to come. You never know when the sickness will ease so I found it best to just take one day at a time as the thought of feeling like that for weeks ahead was hard.

Try different things to help ease the nausea, different things work for different people. I particularly liked the smell of lemon or citrus-y things, certain smells made me sick so I had something I liked the smell of in my bag at all times to sniff when I needed to! Ginger didn't work for me but can help some people. Eating little but often helped me, I didn't feel sick when I was physically eating Grin

Congratulations by the way! Flowers

Thank you for the support, ladies. Misery loves company and it does make me feel better knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. However......I have just woken up and been able to go to the bathroom normally (Louisa148 - I know exactly what you mean), my breasts are not as sore and there is (currently) no nausea.

So I got what I wished for but now I am worried about not having any pregnancy symptoms.

This is my second pregnancy. The first one ended in a miscarriage so I am probably a little paranoid.

Can I ask you all to hope that I puke my guts out today just to make me feel pregnant again? [hopefulface]

SelenaMyers - you are nearly there! Yesterday, I would have said I couldn’t cope with that but today I just want reassurance my baby is still there.

Silver1977 - ginger worked well in my first pregnancy but not even close in this one. I’m going to try citrus as you suggested. Thanks.

Panic over. Morning Sickness is back. In projectile force.

You poor thing. It stopped at around 13-14 weeks for me. I'm now 17 weeks and have had maybe 3 separate days where I've felt a bit nauseous again, but noting like those first weeks. It's awful isn't it. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I found ready salted crisps and crackers helped me. Hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

RedWineAllMine · 18/09/2018 04:52

You don't need sickness to be having a healthy baby. I'm 24 weeks and I had no sickness at all.
But I know plenty of people who had sickness. Hope it subsides soon.

SelinaMyers · 18/09/2018 08:53

Fingers crossed Uncreative! Have you got any aversions or strange triggers? I found they wore off after 14 weeks. I used to not be able to look at the colour red- which meant a lot me running out of the classroom for poor Yr9 who had red folders and books 🙈

Uncreative · 18/09/2018 09:20

Triggers? Waking up. Standing up. Moving. I was ok for two hours today slowly eating a bag of crisps. Not the healthiest snack but I needed to be able to focus. TurquoiseWeekend, I’ll try crackers next time as that at least sounds healthier than crisps.

I told my first RL friend about the pregnancy today. I hope I haven’t jumped the gun. I never used to be superstitious but I am terrified of another miscarriage.

Actually, RLF was thrilled but joked that she thought after last time it was going to be a toss up as to whether I told people at six months or as I went into labour. Since I don’t have my mum around anymore I desperately wanted to tell someone so she was it.

SelenaMyers - red? Really? Oh dear, that must have been tough to work around. I’m glad you are feeling better now.

And thank you to everyone for well wishes. Flowers

I have so much sympathy for you all on this post! @Uncreative ❤️

First baby here for me too, hitting the 15 week mark tomorrow! Found the start bloody awful, couldn't even keep water down... Had to be put on sickness tablets or face the wrath of my MW in A+E on a drip 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ I tried all sorts, sucking ice lollies actually helped quite a bit!!

Luckily was able to function like a normal human being after a week in bed so was able to stop the tablets! (hated taking anything like that, even though I know it's safe), but still have my bad days even now... (This morning woke from sleep gagging, last nights dinner on the bathroom floor, after not reaching the loo quick enough). 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ These little pickles growing inside us like to make us suffer at times 🤰🏻

Literally anything makes me gagg but I can eat now.... kind of!!! like you've all said only stuff I fancy but it's a start! 🙌🏻

All Fingers and toes crossed that it settles for you soon! ❤️

So a couple of days ago my symptoms stopped. Completely. For longer than just half an hour. I had a bit of a panic and had an ultrasound. I’m pleased to report that everything is fine with the baby, size perfectly matches dates and heartbeat strong. And no morning sickness! Woohoo! I have been told that it could come back at any time though.
