Hunger pangs

Hello, I have just joined mumsnet and really hoping there are other ladies on here who are just as hungry as me! There is no warning, one minute I am full and the next I’m ravenous. I’m 8 weeks pregnant. Anyone else feel the same? X

Bless you. I was so sick until 12 weeks I couldn't keep anything down. I lived on rich tea biscuits. You may want to ask for this to be moved to the pregnancy bit as you'll get more replies there. I'll flag it for you x

Thank you, poor you not being able to keep anything down! I just feel constantly nauseous. Who said this pregnancy thing was easy! Thanks for letting me know there is a better place to post xx

We're just moving this over to pregnancy. Flowers

I'm 20weeks now so thankfully don't feel nauseous anymore. I am however hungry ALL THE TIME! I just try eat fairly often, usually have a little bit of something as soon as I get up (piece of toast or something) and then something else a bit later (like porridge) and feel that helps. Xx

Gobletoffire · 16/09/2018 10:01

I do. And it is literally a pang. Like an achey hollow feeling in my chest/stomach, almost a bit like indigestion, and it makes me feel very nauseous until I eat something and seems to come from nowhere!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 16/09/2018 10:08

I’ve been getting this - I can be fine and then all of a sudden it’s like a belly ache and if I don’t get food quick I eventually end up throwing up whatever was in my stomach!
Happened the other day in subway (sadly weren’t quick enough and I had to run to the loo mid order Blush ) not my finest of moments

Rachelweasel · 16/09/2018 10:26

I hated this in the beginning. The hunger would sometimes come out of nowhere and it was like I'd never eaten in my life. If I didn't eat within a few minutes, I'd feel so sick and quite often, be sick :( it was awful. However, now 38 weeks and can say it's definitely worth it now he's nearly here! Smile

I'm 20 weeks and constantly ravenous too Sad

NewNameDueToMyIdiocy · 16/09/2018 11:03

Jesus yes, it's hideous. I'm much better now at 21 weeks but still, if I let myself get too hungry I'll feel really peculiar (and I get so, so hangry!).

surreygirl1987 · 16/09/2018 12:28

Yep- definitely had this in the first trimester and had to constantly graze. Found rice crackers helped. Felt sick if felt hungry- which was all the time! Put on quite a bit of weight actually so be careful what you do choose to eat - I had a lot of cheesy wotsits! But the good news was that (at least I found in my experince) it does go away. Now at 38 weeks I don't really get very hungry and eat quite tiny portions. It was only the first trimester that I personally was ravenous. All pregnancies are different though!

So good to hear I am not the only one! Thank you for all the responses. Fingers crossed us hungry ladies don’t get food bumps before we get baby bumps!Shockxx

I was exactly like this when pregnant with DS. I'm the end I had to keep cream crackers with me for emergencies. I also got a sweet tooth which I had never had before. I am 6 weeks pregnant with no2 and I am trying to ignore the hunger pangs as I don't want to put on as much weight this time. I am 1 stone heavier than I was before I had DS. Sad
