Hi all- couple of questions
Firstly which gets asked often I'm sure. How many of each item did you all have for example; vests for day time under outfits, babygrows, sleepsuits, hats, socks, bibs etc

Secondly did you all wash them before baby was here

And lastly- for washing: do you wash your babies clothes with your own clothes? If so what detergent/softener do you use? Or just keep everything separate?

Thanks! X

“No one talked to me or offered me any information about how to wash his clothes so I don't think it can be a big issue where they see lots of babies harmed from their parents doing it wrong.”

The tinfoil hat wearer in me thinks it might have something to do with detergent companies convincing people that they should be buying bio, non-bio and laundry cleanser when they previously made do with one type of washing powder.

But I have a baby who seems to have the skin of a rhino- maybe those with more sensitive skin see the benefits.

I think it's always been common to steep milk soiled infant clothes.

I washed everything first, but only bought half a dozen things. We got given loads as soon as DS was born. I don't like the new clothes smell which is why I washed them, I do it with my own clothes.

I washed everything together and just used my normal detergent which is usually whatever is on offer. But we have no family history of allergies or eczma.
