Ok so I'll try and keep this short as poss. At my 25w midwife appointment my community midwife tested my urine and said it needed sending off for testing. She initially said it looked fine but left the stick a few mins longer and it showed up that something was present. A few days later I hadn't heard anything but I was at the hosp for reduced movements and they tested my urine again which again showed something. They asked if I was on antibiotics and I said no but my usual midwife had sent my urine off a few days before. They checked the system and saw it was inconclusive so they sent my urine off again. The next day I received a call saying I had to pick up a prescription for antibiotics and I must go that day. I took the course for 7 days. I was then tested and told at my 28w midwife appt that I was showing up again and she sent it off again. Heard nothing back so assumed was ok but a week later at my anti-d appt I was told I did have a UTI still and needed antibiotics. Said she'd send the papers to my GP and id get a call later to collect prescription. Heard nothing... chased the next day at my GP and receptionist said no prescription there yet. A whole week later, after being quite forceful, I was given my antibiotics after going untreated.
I've been regularly tested since at day unit when been in for repeated reduced movement or growth scans and told I'm clear. However, when im tested by someone other than my community midwife I notice they usually just dip and throw in a second, they dont leave it to develop like my community midwife does, and which doing so helped to show the two UTIs before. Im 33+6 now and again today I'm showing in my urine as something being present again. Shes has sent it off to lab again. I also just feel like somethings not right as I feel I cant empty bladder properly. Im already a nervous wreck due to reduced movements. I'm just worried how long I've actually had this UTI and whether I've ever truly been treated. Can anyone relate? So worried about what it could be doing to my baby.
