So im a size 22/24 with a v high bmi of 48..(im 5ft 2) and im trying to eat healthier and ive actually lost 3kg since finding out (woop)

Im worried ive not felt my baby move yet? Im 19weeks today
Its my first so ive got no reference point for what to feel for.
My mam (whos a nurse) says normally 22 weeks but everything ive read says i should feel now???

Am i panicking for nothing or should I call the midwife?

I know! if it wasnt for a slightly harder belly on top and a few other symptoms id not feel pregnant.
Its sooo long between appointments aswell its hard not to freak out!
Im too panicky and cant imagine what id be like by sunday, total nervous wreck!

i was a mess last week and the same on the 12 week scan too. I think it is natural to worry.

One thing that reassured me was the fact only something like 1% of people get bad news on the 20w scan and pretty much most of those pregnancies are fine as the issue is easily treatable once the baby arrives.

Luckily (or maybe not) my baby wasn't particularly compliant last week so I need to go back in just under 2 weeks to get some additional images, nothing to worry about as they would have called me a lot sooner if they thought anything was wrong. But I get to see her again very soon and, having a high BMI I get additional scans at 32 and 36 weeks Grin

Im the same! I get to seem them extra aswell, cant wait Grin

I heard a heartbeat at the 16week app and was so releived!
And i was tempted to buy a dopla myself but read on here its the worst thing i could do.
Midwife said i may well of felt something but passed it off as wind, and i said ive got mad indigestion anyway so all I do is burp so wouldnt know any different!
Hopefully mind gets put to rest, 2 and a half hours to go!!

Just to let everyone know... i went and saw the nicest midwife ever this afternoon who couldnt of been more understanding!
Found babys heartbeat, kept loosing it tho the little wriggler! Nothing like its mam or dad, were so slow moving we're almost sloth like! Haha

Anyway im so releived I went now, Halo roll on wednesday for gender scan :)

I totally get what you mean about over-thinking sensations and no idea if its my own body or baby! Best wishes for your scan. Mine's on Tuesday.

There's no 'should' about when you feel your baby move.

I have a friend who never felt her baby move during her entire pregnancy! Must have been a sleepy baby - which changed once she was born I can assure you.

As long as your checks at the clinic are OK, don't worry.
