I'm currently 13 weeks and in about 3 weeks time I've a weekend in Berlin and in 10 weeks time I've a week in Tenerife normally I'd just buy a basic annual travel insurance policy for about £20 but with being pregnant do I need to look at a special policy or any add ons. TIA

Most standard policies should cover you automatically that early on.

I am going away at 29 weeks and have arranged specialist insurance to ensure everything is covered but when we were away at 21 weeks I just had a standard policy.

Travel insurance is always a top priority when booking a getaway, but even more so when it comes to travelling whilst pregnant. A good pregnancy travel insurance policy will cover most potential issues that could arise on your holiday, and give you peace of mind throughout your trip.

We cover pregnancy complications on all of our policies, from Budget to Black cover. We even cover it on our backpackers policies.

may be worth checking them out x

Ensure your policy covers the baby if it's born early - a huge majority only cover the baby in utero

Ravenhall cover mother and baby.

I flew to Cyprus at 32 weeks and got insurance from insure and go didn’t need extra cover as was covered on that and the unborn baby also. There’s no need for extra cover xx

I bought travel insurance through Direct Line. I enquired about pregnancy and they said it was covered as standard, no need for specific mention on the policy documentation.

When I went on holz to Spain for a week at 32 weeks we used Ravenhall as it was the most explicit in its pregnancy cover.

We've looked at this as we go for 2 weeks soon and it's very hard to find cover as it's not classed as a medical condition and most only cover certain things. Look at the small print on them for what they cover :)
