Swollen legs - yuck!

I'm 24 weeks into my (twin) pregnancy and have started getting really swollen legs (not so much ankles) in the afternoon and evening, which a) feels very unpleasant and b) looks quite unpleasant (which I'm finding hard to deal with as I've always been quite a fan of my pins...)

I know that elevating my legs is the best option but unfortunately isn't that conducive to a desk job. Can anyone recommend anything that I could eat / not eat that might make it better? I'm worried that with 3 months left to go this is just the tip of the iceberg!!

Thanks in advance...

this happened to me in both of my pregnancies. I think the answer is you just need to move about more. A little walk at lunchtime and walk around the office for at least a couple of minutes every 30 mins. Stretching and flexing ankles- try raising youself up and down onto you toes - like an old fashioned policeman. I used to have an upturned bin under my desk. I always noticed that the days I didn't get up much made my legs much worse. Some days I thought my feet would would explode. The good news is that the swelling disapeared on the day the babies were born

I have this too, but lucky it's winter here. I would terrible in skirt at present. (so opt for pants ifr possible)
Agree some leg exercices are good, but not sure they'll help swelling, it's fluid retention that likes to hand around.

feet up is good even on waste bin.

keep an eye out for blood pressure rises.
