Hypothetically, at what point would you know you’re pregnant, I’ve read news stories of women giving birth and not even know they’re pregnant? Is this true, or just exaggerated for newspapers? Would you know if you were over 15 weeks pregnant?

I would've known. I knew the first morning of my missed period. I had a feeling. The week before I had overwhelming nausea but, as it is my first pregnancy, I didn't realise what it was. By 15 weeks I had more missed periods, aversions to some foods and horrid morning sickness!

Stephisaur · 09/09/2018 11:53

I’d have had inklings before this due to missed periods, but by 24 weeks I was feeling STRONG kicks that are unmistakable, even though I’m quite overweight.

Ariela · 09/09/2018 12:03

I know a lady had absolutely no idea she was pregnant, no morning sickness, no symptoms, just irregular periods which was usual for her and hadn't thought anything of it, got taken to A&E with chronic tummy pains thought she was perhaps allergic to something she'd been eating, turned out to be in labour. Very shocked, genuinely had no idea!

Magpiefeather · 09/09/2018 12:10

I knew from before first missed period, so before 4 weeks. Had loads of symptoms. Was TTC so more aware of them, but even if it was an accident I wouldn’t have been able to ignore the fact that I suddenly had enormous nipples! Then horrible sickness from 6 weeks and just generally felt pregnant right from the off. Everyone’s different though I guess.

crl200 · 09/09/2018 12:21

@Ariela so how did your friend not notice a baby bump, or missed periods ?

I recognise your posts. You are the poster who continuously wants reassurance that you are not pregnant despite negative tests. Have you been back to the Dr or booked a scan to confirm that you are not? I really think you should, your anxiety is clearly out of control.

crl200 · 09/09/2018 13:18

Dr said that it wasn’t anxiety and she didn’t seem worried

For my first I had no morning sickness, no food aversions, nothing to indicate I was pregnant in that regard. No pregnancy bump at all but my entire body seemed to swell up so I just looked like the Michelin man all over. If not for a positive pregnancy test and no periods I would not have known. At 8 mths I actually had a colleague who asked if I wanted the number of their relative who had started a practice based on sleeving/stapling. They were shocked when I told them I wasn’t fat I was pregnantGrin.

For subsequent pregnancies I had irregular periods, none for 6 months +, so couldn’t rely on that, no morning sickness, no food aversions, but I did get a pregnancy bump and did not have the all over Michelin man look thank god.

In my time in A&E I did have a few patients rock up in labour who did not know they were pregnant and in no way looked pregnant so that definitely happens.

BigBlueBubble · 09/09/2018 13:38

I knew about five days before my period was due. No idea why I decided to do a test that day. Just had a feeling that I should.

crl200 · 09/09/2018 13:39

I guess they wouldn’t have done pregnancy tests if they didn’t know, I have negative tests though

OP...I have seen your previous threads. YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT. Please for your own sake stop fixating on this...and go back to your GP. Tell your GP the whole truth, perhaps show them your previous threads, and they can help you get through this anxiety.

fairgame84 · 09/09/2018 13:57

You've done urine tests and had blood tests which all show you are not pregnant.
I'm not sure what more anybody can say or do to convince you.

Grazek · 09/09/2018 13:58

I didn't know till I was 15 weeks. No symptoms, morning sickness or tiredness.
My pill would stop my period anyway so that didn't bother me. When I eventually did the test of course it was positive but I still didn't think I was as far along as actually was until I had my dating scan 4 weeks later

SleepyMcEdie · 09/09/2018 14:02

People who didn’t know they were pregnant had not taken pregnancy tests.

You have had multiple negative pregnancy tests. You are not pregnant. Go back to your GP and tell them everything. You need some support with your anxiety but also your symptoms investigating if you are still having them as they are not pregnancy related.

SoyDora · 09/09/2018 14:07

Oh no, you’re back. I was hoping you’d have realised by now (once and for all) that you’re not pregnant. Because you’re not.
Did you tell the Dr that you’re fixating on the fact that you may be pregnant, despite everything telling you otherwise, and that it’s consuming your thoughts?

SparklyMagpie · 09/09/2018 14:12

Christ sake, you are not pregnant

I don't think anyone can convince you

ParkheadParadise · 09/09/2018 14:12

With dd2 I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 5mths.
No symptoms I was on the pill.
I went to the doctors with a suspected kidney infection to be told I was pregnant. We went to the scan ( at this point I was still convinced we would see kidney stones😂.
To say we were shocked is an understatement.
Dd1 was 23. I really thought my baby days were behind me.

MsSquiz · 09/09/2018 14:25

I was 19 weeks and only knew because I broke up with my boyfriend and "something" made me do a test... went to EPAC and was given an ultrasound.

I still fitted into my size 8 skinny jeans, no noticeable bump, was taking the pill (although clearly something went wrong) so still had my bleed during my break each month, no morning sickness, boobs had gotten slightly bigger but they're a decent size anyway so nothing dramatic

SoyDora · 09/09/2018 14:28

Just for those who haven’t seen the OP’s posts before... she’s young (17ish), was using contraception, has had multiple negative tests, has seen the GP who has confirmed she isn’t pregnant, and has symptoms consistent with some sort of digestive issue. This is around the 5th post she has posted in the same vein.

ParkheadParadise · 09/09/2018 14:37

Thanks SoyDora
I hadn't seen any previous posts.

I’m not trying to make her feel stupid, I was just concerned that multiple posts saying ‘yes I didn’t find out until I was 6 months’ etc would fuel her anxiety even more.
