It's great isn't it?I had thrush in mid pregnancy and someone on here suggested washing undies at 60 degrees and putting a few drops of tea tree oil in my bath. It worked.Worth a try anyhoo.

Suffered with this loads while pg, especially in last few weeks. Never had thrush until I was pg.
It isn't nice! Hope things improve soon!

I have just found out I am pg and have thrush. Am using canesten external cream as the pharmacist said it is ok. Do you think this is ok? I know the oral tablest and internal canestan things are a no go.
I never have thrush except for the beginning of pregnancies so it is really annoying. Another pharmacist told me to eat lots of natural yoghurt and you can also put it on your lady bits too.

Its horrible isn't - I've almost had constant thrush for most of my pregnancies and I use the canestan cream as the doctors ahve always prescribed it for me. To be honest I haven't tried any of the other non-medical treatments - perhaps I should give them a go. I may try the tea tree oil...

Could I suggest that you go to the doc's and have a swab taken? I thought I had thrush during my first pregnancy, but it turned out to be an infection - Group B Strep, which needs to be treated, as can be quite harmful if the baby catches it whilst passing through the birth canal. Luckily for us, the hospital picked up on it and I had antibiotics during the labour, so all was well, but it would have been less stressful for me if it had been sorted in advance. Don't worry about it though, I'm sure you'll be OK.

I have had GBS in pregnancy before so already have the stickers on my notes and will have antibototics in labour anyway.
