I have SPD, and am 23 weeks preggy. I have a belt thing (thanks to a special mumsnetter) and using my crutches
I guess I just feeling sorry for myself. I have been stuck at home, as i am finding driving too difficult and been signed off work, so am stuck in house alone
Dat time TV sucks and im banned from certain house tasks like moping, hoovering and doing food shopping.
I have DD at home 2 days a week during week and 3 days shes at nursery all day.
Sorry needed to moan thanks for reading

Can you get a pillow & get some really good books????

During my second pregnancy I had hyperemisis at the beginning 20 weeks & then started SPD The only thing that kept me sane was reading.

wrinklytum · 07/06/2007 23:54

Oooh yes,read loads!!!

In the early stages with no 2 you won't get any reading time at all!

Put your feet up,eat chocolate and read!

Mumsnet is another option

Stay in bed unti you feel like getting up really. If you have a guest room go and sleep in there. It will make you feel differently.

Please watch daytime TV in bed. I did the whole milkshake on channel 4 plus Jeremy Kyle. It was fab, still is. DS (3) goes down stairs after JK after playing in his room. Then (god help me) I get up.

MY DD wont stay in her room and will only stay in bed with me till about 8.30pm.
I dont have TV in my room just the dvd player

I'm also stuck at home all day, everyday on my own, all my friends are either away at uni or work as does my other half. I wont let myself watch daytime tv as it is far too depressing, thus i use mumsnet and spend time searching the web, also if im feeling really bored i get some dvds and books out of blockbuster of the local library and watch them...box sets are the best, you can engross yourself for hours at a time watching csi or something. Good luck

If you have DVD player in your room, start watching brilliant series, like Lost, Prison Break, Heroes (i've just started watching this - brilliant!!), Life on Mars, Extras.

I use my portable DVD player daily on my commute to/from work and would be lost without it!!

Watching all this stuff certainly keeps me sane!!

Ok, don't laugh but I've started on a quite large cross stitch picture. It is really easy to do (comes in a kit with full instructions), is totally time consuming and I'll have something to keep after the baby is born (it has Noah's ark/alphabet theme and will go nicely in the baby's room).

DH is convinced that it will take so long to do that I'm better aiming for a completion date of the child's 18th birthday!

Hope you feel better soon.

lisad123 · 08/06/2007 19:48
