Im wondering if anyone has any tips?
Im 18+5 and currently sleeping on mt side(both left and right)with one pillow behind my back and another between my knees.

Just wondering if theres a comfier way to sleep or if a pregnancy pillow is worth it?

Im constantly waking to change position and sometimes get a dead hand!! Used to love lying on my front and on my back but i read somewhere that i shouldnt lie on my back..

I'm 23 weeks and struggling with this too as I usually sleep on my front. I've tried a big Sanggol pregnancy pillow but it takes up so much of the bed that it drove my husband to the spare room which I didn't like. Last night I was on my left side with two pillows under my head and one between my knees, and that seemed OK.

I've got a pregnancy pillow to get rid of if you are near London and want to come and take it off my hands!

Personally I'd just buy a pregnancy pillow. You can get them for less than £20 on amazon. I didn't have on in my first pregnancy and got one this time, it's great. I got mine second hand for £10.

Aldi currently have v shaped pillows in for around a fiver, I had this plus a pillow between my knees and it was comfy. I did also have a pregnancy pillow but I preferred the v, it was less bulky and I didn't get as warm but it supported my back. Really handy for bf/support when you're holding a napping newborn!

Sounds like you're doing everything right. You're correct in saying not too lie on your back or front. Unfortunately as you're limited to each side (with left being even better) you will keep getting dead arm, leg, hand and have to keep switching sides. I had bad sciatica all down left side from week 20 onwards so I got a pregnancy pillow as I could only lie on the right side and it slightly took some of the pressure off. Otherwise there's not a huge difference between what you're doing with normal pillows.

Thanks everyone!

I might get a pregnancy pillow. My only issue is taking up too much space in the bed. My husband is 6'6" so he takes up a good bit of space as it is... but i suppose if i got a cheap one and it didnt work out then at least im not wasting loads of money!!

I just got a long bolster pillow, it was cheaper and does the job.

@loumsc what your describing is like a typical night for me, I'm really struggling.. I don't bother with pillow behind my back cause I don't tend to go onto my back anyway but have had a pillow between my knees for a few weeks (I'm only 15+4) I'm waking up frequently with excruciating pain my which ever hip I'm on at that time 😭. I don't want to get pregnancy pillow as like another poster said it would drive my OH mad and he likes to cuddle and have sex which I'm not feeling most the time so anytime I'm in the mood I don't want to waste them times by him sleeping elsewhere. I'm not sure what else I can do! Can't see I'll cope too well if it continues for the next 24.5 weeks 😳 x

I bought a dream genii. It didn’t help that much when I was laying down but it came into it’s own when the reflux started and I could only sleep sitting up.
