Free prescriptions and free swimming (in Bristol at least)!

I've passed on anything Bounty/ Emma's Diary related because they misuse people's data, and I think Bounty's integration into the NHS is a bit grim.

DannyWallace · 27/08/2018 19:31

Shamelessly following as I want ALL the freebies I can get 😂😂

MsHopey · 27/08/2018 19:32

Also following.

Mosret · 27/08/2018 19:33

Free? Nothing as far as I can remember except free unwanted advice from everyone Grin

backstreetboysareback · 27/08/2018 19:35

Mosret Grin
I remember how useful the samples were to keep in changing bags instead of full size items.

Bounty, Emma's diary, argos have a bunch of vouchers for money off bits. Cow n gate send you a little stuffed toy cow. You can get a baby box by answering a few questions but you still have to pay for postage

TricycleBicycle · 27/08/2018 19:50

Dental care.

If you fly anywhere you can board early. No need to queue.

Bit rubbish really innit.

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 27/08/2018 20:39

Boots used to be great.
They used to give you a free changing bag, I used them for years with both kids.

But now I don't think they really do anything.

It's crap compared to how it used to be.

MollyMallyMindy · 27/08/2018 20:45

By my 2nd, Bounty's offering had dwindled to one maternity pad and a few pence off stuff I wasn't going to buy anyway. Or as the midwife said, the only useful bit is the waterproof envelope to keep your notes in - turn it inside out for your toddler to decorate...

My council did a voucher for washable nappies which was good. I stocked up on prescriptions and dental treatment before the HC2 ran out.

Best was restaurants offering me a small glass of good wine rather than large ones of the house plonk!

backstreetboysareback · 27/08/2018 20:54

@MollyMallyMindy do you mind me asking whereabouts you are for the nappy vouchers? That sounds fab

Emmas Diary a pack of pampers newborn nappies - which I think is the in the 2nd pack you collect from Argos.

Baby university to get a baby box which you can either collect or get sent to you for about £5.

Depending on your local council you should be able to get a voucher for free reusable nappies. Just google [council name] reusable nappies.

hoping2018 · 01/09/2018 21:47

@BridgeFarmKefir where was the free swimming in Bristol pleAse?

BridgeFarmKefir · 01/09/2018 22:02

@hoping2018 it's a council thing I think so most public pools. Google it, but there should be a page on your local pool's website about free swimming for pregnant women - my local is Bristol South, you just have to take some ID and they put you on the system.

hoping2018 · 01/09/2018 22:12

@BridgeFarmKefir great - thank you. I'm bristol but south Gloucester so I'll have to investigate!

sailing123 · 03/09/2018 11:29

not so much a freebie but a perk...! I found out recently after getting very hot and sweaty queuing in Primark that if you are pregnant you dont have to queue and you can just jump to the front and they will serve you straight away! Although there isnt any signs up saying this but the staff told me that its true of all Primark stores...! xx

Elbbob · 03/09/2018 11:38

With Boots parenting club you get lots of vouchers for money off things but also for a free Mam self sterilizing bottle, and then when baby gets to about 5-6 months you get sent a voucher for a free Ella's Kitchen recipe book.

There's things like Your Baby Club that you can sign up to online but they mostly send you loads of annoying emails to try and get you to sign up for other stuff (spam hell).

Elbbob · 03/09/2018 11:40

Lots of councils do the nappy vouchers just look on your council website or ask your midwife.

dellabrew · 03/09/2018 17:28

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get different free goodies every month (as long as you order something usually over £20 or so) - sometimes its pretty good stuff, I think this month is a johnsons caring pack with a bunch of different full size johnsons products, but it varies a lot I think. Worth it seeing as most of us use Amazon for some stuff here and there :)
