Pink / slight blood streaked discharge 17 weeks - what to do??

I’m writing as it’s a weekend so can’t get hold of normal GP etc. I had some faint pink / blood streaked discharge on Friday night. Ended up going to a and e which was such a faff. They examined me and couldn’t find any obvious cause but wanted to see me as I am rhesus negative blood group so need to someone if I have any bleed. The discharge is still happening / it’s not bright red but has got a bit more pink streaks in it. Going to a and e was such a hassle I really don’t want to go again today. Has anyone else had this and what did they do? This is my third baby and I’ve never experienced this before !! Advice or opinions much appreciated. At the moment I’m leaning towards calling for a GP appointment first thing tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you're going through this, any bleeding during pregnancy is scary.

Have you tried ringing the EPAU at your hospital. There should be a midwife on duty 24/7 and they might be able to get you in for a scan this weekend or first thing on Tuesday (Tomorrow's a bank holiday btw).

Alternatively check your maternity book as there should be useful telephone numbers in there on the inside of the from page.

Good luck OP! Thanks

EPAU is a clinic I think Monday to Friday I might go to the out of hours dr tomorrow. It’s not continuous discharge just every now and again throughout the day

I'd call either your midwife ( normally an answer machine but should be checked daily) or the labour ward.. the midwives there will be best placed to offer advice/support etc xx

I would call the number on your notes or the labour ward as they will be the best to advise. In my area we have a PAU which is open 8-8 7 days a week but I know services differ. A&E are so over stretched so hopefully you can get in touch with a midwife today.

I called midwifery unit at the hospital and they have got me an appointment today at the women’s health clinic at the hospital to see a dr listen to baby and have anti d. So glad I don’t have to go to a&e again

I’ve found the advice on anti d really confusing with midwives telling me different things about thresholds for treatment. Last time was more clear cut for me as I had no bleeding but one big fall where I had to go in. This time round I’ve had a lot of spotting but so far at 11 weeks haven’t needed it according to the triage people (i think 12 weeks is the threshold but I’ve been told 8 and 19 by different midwives so don’t have a clue really. Some have said call with any spotting and others have said they are only worried about heavy bleeding.

This is my third baby and never had to have anti d other than the usual 28 weeks and if needed after baby. I had a fall wig DC2 but never told any of the midwives - prob should have!
Both my DC are same blood group as me though so wouldn’t have mattered really.
