6+4 today. Exhausted but with the lovely added extra of terrible insomnia. Nausea is worse when I'm not horizontal and walking down the stairs makes my boobs hurt. Everything outside of my bedroom smells like a bin.

I'm not the only one staying in bed for the next two days right?

raises hand - I'm 10+3 and feel exactly the same. Have been in bed since 7pm last night and have no intention of getting out again until I need to go to work on Tuesday. Horrendous fatigue and insomnia and feel dreadful

iheartmyponeh · 25/08/2018 13:08

39+1 here and totally done. Any activity triggers horrifically painful BH and standing up feels like my internal organs are going to fall out of my vagina. Just getting up to pee and vomit. Please, please let me go into labour soon. :(

Mosret · 25/08/2018 13:13

Oh god I don't miss it.. I went to 42 weeks and had sciatica, nausea, insomnia, sinus infections, heartburn. But it was all worth it in the end. Hang on in there.

BlueBug45 · 25/08/2018 13:14

I'm doing induced in 9 days so I'm in bed because it will be one of my final lie ins.

Gobletoffire · 25/08/2018 13:19

I’m 10+1 and alternating between the settee and my bed for the next 3 days Grin

SentToTheSynByn · 25/08/2018 13:22

Just came on to say, no of course you're not the only one...then realised this is the pregnancy topic haven't been pregnant for sixteen years

As you were Grin

Caribbeanyesplease · 25/08/2018 13:25

All first timers presumably??!

No option to be put of bed when you have a toddler / children to deal with on top of being pregnancy. But can be a good thing to be forced out of bed and concentrate on something else

MoonFacesMum · 25/08/2018 13:40

I’m 34 weeks and I’m in bed...and this is my third. DH is capable of looking after the DC on his own for a few hours while I rest. I won’t spend the whole day in bed but I’ll rest so I can do things with them later and tomorrow. Don't feel guilty for resting on a Saturday, I’m sure like me many of you have jobs that get you up focusing on something else during the week.

twobambinos · 25/08/2018 13:44

Same as @moonfacesmum 3rd and need the rest. But I'm not in bed this Weekend. Last weekend was a total disaster. I thinkb taking iron tablets on an empty stomach set me off.

Spent an awful lot of the early weeks in bed op. Whatever gets you through be kind to yourself.

dingdongdigeridoo · 25/08/2018 13:49

I’m 39 weeks so it could start any minute. Got a really long lie in today thanks to DH getting DS out the way, and I’m doing minimal movement today.

Got a bloody awful sore throat and headache today which needs to go away. I don’t want to be ill while in labour or looking after a newborn.

BikeRunSki · 25/08/2018 13:56

My youngest is 6, and I remember this well (ramped up to hyperemisis both times too).

Don’t forget it’s a bank holiday holiday weekend, do you actually get to spend 3 days in bed!

RosiePosies · 25/08/2018 14:52

I completely forgot it was a bank holiday when I wrote this and you have all cheered me up a lot by reminding me.

OH has a raging hangover and isn't allowed near me as just looking at him makes me feel ill.

@Spooples exactly the same bed time as me (bed time isn't necessarily sleep time though is it 🙄)

@Gobletoffire I have just managed to make it down to the sofa due to OH being in our bed, got my duvet and a pillow, have to say it is nice to change the scenery a bit now and again.

@iheartmyponeh Sounds horrendous, I have everything crossed for you that babe comes soon, dare I ask what BH is?

I'm back in bed (39+3) just waiting for a twinge or anything and for labour to kick in. I have pelvic girdle pain and have done since 19 weeks. Exhausting and house bound with crutches. So you're not the only one spending it in bed!
Sorry to hear you're suffering with insomnia - I did during early pregnancy, nothing worse than not being able to sleep especially when you feel so tired! Hope it eases off for you soon, and the nausea too!

RosiePosies · 25/08/2018 21:10

Ahhh so close @blueelephant91 I really hope all your pain clears up quickly once the baby is here Thanks

Lumpy76 · 26/08/2018 12:49

Hi @RosiePosies again! Same boat here! Nausea well and truly kicked in. As soon as youngest was in bed last night I didn’t move from bed either! Feeling not so bad right now (middle of the day and eaten again - I’ll be the size of a house by next week keeping the nausea at bay). The fatigue is a killer...even getting a shower this morning felt like a massive massive effort! Why have I don’t this to myself again!!! 🙈🙄😳

confuddeledconfuddel · 26/08/2018 13:46

Ugh making me all feel jealous! Embrace being able to lie in bed.
I've a terrible cold and a 21month LG so have no choice to get up and be energetic Sad she doesn't even have the attention span to watch a movie yet. It's hell.

NelleB · 26/08/2018 14:02

36 weeks tomorrow, totally exhausted. I was out of bed for 2 hours this morning, it didn’t last!

RosiePosies · 26/08/2018 17:30

@Lumpy76 exactly the same here - middle of the day I can hold it together - morning and evening is a different story. I can't even scroll through apps on my phone because it makes me feel so ill! It's hard not to feel low when you feel so poorly. I'm going to go to the docs on Tuesday I think. Even looking at the super cute baby things in M&S didn't cheer me up!!

OP posts:
RosiePosies · 26/08/2018 17:39

@confuddeledconfuddel oh gawd that sounds awful, and on top of the cold you're going to worry about taking any meds that can help you feel less shite. My nephew is the same as your DS - drives dsis bonkers. Won't even play on an iPad for longer than 5 minutes.

Yup been sleeping when my toddler sleeps. I struggle on my working days now as I need an afternoon nap to feel vaguely human.

Sictransitgloria · 27/08/2018 08:50

Yep, i’m 9+4 and the past week I have felt horrendous. Made myself do errands Sat and Sun and yest evening felt bloody atrocious. And the same with scrolling on my phone - even that makes me feel sick as a dog. It’s rubbish.

Mumlovestoast · 27/08/2018 18:31

Yep, I’m in bed 🤒 feeling like garbage. I’ve got SPD, reflux and vomiting, anemia and gestational diabetes and I can’t sleep because neither twin will let me sleep on my side and I pee every half hour. DH, DM and DD keep making me get back in bed, so looks I’m here for the next 5 weeks

Itchytights · 27/08/2018 18:37

Oh bless you, I remember this well.

Clearly first baby as not such a thing with subsequent pregnancies.

It will pass and it is so worth it in the end.

Mints, ginger biscuits and don’t allow yourself to get hungry as that makes it so much worse, even though eating is the last thing you want to do.

butterwithtoast · 27/08/2018 18:39

Yep, pretty much. I'm 8 weeks and am just exhausted. The nausea is constant, lying still definitely helps, getting up to help look after my 16mo generally ends in vomiting. My poor husband is pretty much a single parent now. Really hoping it doesn't last much longer, I feel utterly useless.

Singlenotsingle · 27/08/2018 18:42

Spent yesterday in bed, just having a lazy day. Up today though.
