For various irritating reasons involving us moving house, amassive refurb which has gone on since Jan and therefore 5 months camping out with my parents we decided a while ago to go away to our holiday flat in france for a week when I will be 33+4 days pregnant.

I have had a completely straightforward easy pregnancy, it is my second, first ds was easy pregnancy and came late, I've felt great apart from indigestion in the last couple of days.

anyone else gone away so late in pregnancy?

the airline might refuse to let you fly without a doctors note , and make sure your insurance covers any emergency maternity care ..

I've been on a flight at 34 weeks - as lulu the guru says, check with the airline (I had to fill in an 'incapacitated passenger' form.
Enjoy the break, and try and get some rest!

Georgie - check wioth the airline in case the doc's letter isn't enough.

BA will accept you up to 36 weeks with a doctor's letter

zebedee1 · 05/06/2007 10:16

i flew on BA at 35 weeks with a dr's letter. just make sure you have your european health insurance card (was e111 form) as i could not find anyone who would insure me after 30 weeks. have a lovely holiday!

Make sure you keep moving your legs as you are at a higher risk for DVT's when pregnant, though it's only a short haul flight so I'm sure all will be fine.

WriggleJiggle · 05/06/2007 19:41

I'm off to Durban at 26-29 weeks. Who are you flying with? Have you checked their cut off dates, some airlines are 35 weeks, some are 36 weeks. You must also take a doctors note as well, to be written within the previous week, I suspect.

Can I ask who your travel insurance is with and if you know of any company that are particularly good for pg ladies?

Hi
Cut and pasted below from an old thread which I will bump up as it's holiday time.
I rang them today - they're excellent - £23 for 2 and 1/2 weeks in Montenegro and no fuss at all.
I think that's up to 32 weeks - over 32 weeks they offer another policy which covers all sorts.
