Titled uterus

At my scan at 7 weeks they picked up i had a titled uterus. Never heard of it before, she didnt elaborate on it and i didnt think to ask as was eager to see baby on screen. Past year i have had alot of complications with random bleeding, pain during/after sex etc etc. Doctor just kept giving me antibiotics but i am now wondering if those problems were down to that.
Anyway, this is my second pregnancy, never had it with my first. Done a bit of googling but if any of you ladies have had it, did it affect your scans (did you have to have internal ones, and if not were they clear/baby easy to see or find?) did it make any difference to feeling movement later on in pregnancy? And did it course you any toilet problems, or back ache? It says that it shouldnt affect pregnancy but just want to hear from anyone first hand, mainly to put my mind at ease as i have these questions and no answers🤔

Hi! I also have a tilted uterus. The gynecologist who observed it said it might make it harder to conceive (conceived on first cycle and am also very overweight). A different HCP (can't remember who) later told me your uterus is either tilted back like ours, or forward (I think that's maybe more common?) and that it makes absolutely no difference! I've not noticed any symptoms, scans have all been fine (apart from being affected by my weight), movement is good etc. I do seem to be carrying the baby quite high and my bump doesn't seem very big despite the baby being off the scales, and I do wonder if that might be because my uterus is tilted. But long story short: I don't think it matters at all medically speaking. Could be wrong though! Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy!

I was always told that it makes no difference to fertility. Your uterus moves, too. So mine was tilted 2 years ago when I had a gynaecological scan, but it’s normal now, so has moved at some point!

All it really meant for me was that I felt period pains in my back rather than my front.

I’ve got a tilted uterus. I’m pregnant with my third and have had it with all three.
It has made scans more difficult for me (only the 12 week one as after that the size of the baby pushes it back into a proper position). It has never caused any other issues though. The only thing my midwife mentioned is that it can mean you’re more prone to UTI’s in pregnancy.

It’s not associated with symptoms such as bleeding/pain after sex.

I had one in all three pregnancies that corrected itself by the second trimester. It's not connected with pain or bleeding but makes it a bit moe difficult at early scans.

I have one, didn't cause any of the issues you describe. Literally just mentioned at my first early scan but not mentioned again after that.

Mine made my 12 week scan very difficult and I had to have a TV scan for that, but otherwise now it has been pushed into the right position by the baby and never mentioned again!

It can make early abdominal scans a bit tricky but as you get farther along in your pregnancy the weight of the baby and stuff pushes it forward anyway. It's nothing to worry about as it's just a variation on normal. Like being left handed.

I have a tilted uterus meaning early scans were difficult and had to be trans-vaginal, but my 12 week scan was picked up easily abdominally. To my knowledge it doesn't have an impact on conception or pregnancy. I also experience heavy periods and pain having sex and I think it might be related. It was also noted I have a 'bulky' uterus and I'm thinking my symptoms add up to adenomyosis.
