Too much movement?

Is it possible that my baby moves too much? I've been feeling her move since 19 weeks, I'm 25 now and she moves more every day. I read about others who don't feel much but my baby is moving constantly. Solid movements that I can see from the outside and DH can feel. Is this normal? I would almost think there are two in there but the scan says just one!

I’m 21 weeks and have a real wriggler, really strong movements that can be felt (and seen) from the outside. Even made the sonographer jump at the anomaly scan! DD2 was exactly the same so I’m not worried.
Some babies are very active, some aren’t. It’s changes from their regular pattern that needs checking out.

First time mum...and I felt my baby from 15 weeks. Everyone told me that was too soon but I know it was him. The movements carried on getting stronger and stronger. I am 27 weeks and he moves all day. keeps me awake at night too. I think it can only be a good thing!

I felt moves all day everyday from 16 weeks Grin

My first baby moved loads. My labour started with my waters breaking before I'd had any contractions at all and I'm convinced it was her wriggling so much.
She is now a very active 10 year old who is still always on the go!

This is a relief to hear, was worried she might be having fits or stresed out somehow?

Some babies move more than others, or sometimes you feel it more than others do due to babies position or placenta position.

They tell you to keep a check of movements from around 24 weeks, keep a rough check of what is normal for you. Anything that differs from normal for you is what needs checking. More than usual or less than usual needs checking out.

Both my babies were crazy active, the second was painful in third trimester she was so active! This turned out to be because I had low waters and I could feel her moving with little cushioning.

My first was active all day long (but not through the night fortunately) and he is a VERY active 2.5 Yo now! 😍

Like others have said, just go by what is normal for your baby and any concerns, call your midwife / go in x

Some babies are just very active and it's regarded generally as a good sign of a healthy baby.

I have a high posterior placenta and this baby just moves. Favour hobby seems to be whacking were my bladder is.

I had a brief week around 23/24 weeks where the baby changed position so I couldn't feel movement. I was told by the midwives that you only need to be monitoring movements from 28 weeks, even though it is a good idea to get checked out to confirm it's just a position change. This is because before 28 weeks they have room to move into positions where you can't feel them.

Since about 30 weeks baby's movements have been stronger and at about 34 weeks I could feel them when walking around as baby changed position, but as I've had more scans than normal I know there is nothing wrong.

As already said its totally normal to have a very active baby; as long as they develop their own individual pattern/behaviour of movement then there's nothing to worry about.
