Hey, I'm 34+5 (with a big baby 6lbs4oz estimated) and this evening I have had a couple of occasions of leakage...doesn't appear to be urine but a very thin milky discharge, but in a far higher quantity than is normal for me. Along with this I have also had shocking lower back pain. (Like really low, almost in my bum cheeks!) and sharp pains coming and going all over my belly and what feels like inside my vagina. I've not felt any tightenings or contractions. I will phone l&d if this carries on but I'm not too worried currently. More curious to see if anyone else has had this?

How are you now?
The discharge could just be normal discharge, it often increases towards the end.
The pains are more concerning. Def phone if they don't go away.

Hiya. The discharge has slowed down and the pains are still coming and going. It's so hard to know what's normal etc when it's your first!

Out of interest, how do you know it is not labour pains if it is your first? Despite having three pregnancies, I have never properly laboured, but the pains you are having sound like those I experienced when they tried to induce me. Something was happening but not quickly enough, hence I was sectioned. I would definitely go get checked out. If you are in early labour, they might want to give you steroid injections.

Phone the maternity ward for advice or your midwife

Copercabana I don't know for sure just don't think I'd be functioning quite as well if I was in early labour but have nothing to go by other than what I think haha. Will call midwife soon x

Get checked out!

Lots of things can be normal, on the other hand, lots of things aren't. If the pains are continuing, it might be a good idea to call either your midwife, or the antenatal triage to see what they say.

Hope you're ok OP! Flowers
