Did anyone with obstetric cholestasis not need to be induced?

I have appointment with my consultant in a few weeks when I reach 37W because I have OC. My last weeks bloods went down from 37 to 6 which is amazing with the medication I've been using to manage it.
I'm wondering if they stay this low until 37 weeks will I still need an induction? I had an induction with my first and found it incredibly painful and horrible in general.
I was wondering how likely it would be that I can go into labour naturally?

With my first, a sweep worked so no induction but I don’t know about naturally. Good luck!

It's always your choice.

If you look up Jenny Chambers on FB, she's in charge of the ICP in pregnancy as it's now known and is very knowledgeable

I was induced at 36 weeks because even with the drugs my bike slays were high. I feel for you especially in this hot weather - I was so itches it drove me crazy.

Looking back I had it with my first child but never diagnosed or anywhere near as bad and she was induced because she was 2 weeks overdue.

Is it worth the risk of still birth??

I'm being induced at 37+3, but sooner if they're not happy with anything (on daily obs and CTG currently - 35+5)

I've had it twice but my levels were never controlled and always peaked leading to induction at 36w and 36w 5d although was so favourable with 2nd barely needed inducing so would have happened pretty imminently anyway.

Thanks for the replies. Can I ask what your bile levels were? Mine went up to 37 but with urso went down to 6! So wondering if I'd still need an induction?

Mine were in 3 figures Sad so no help I'm afraid.

Personally because of all the unknowns with Cholestasis I wouldn't want to go beyond 37 weeks but my opinion is very biased based on my own experience only and I'm in no way medically trained.

Best bet is to speak to your consultant who should know the latest guidelines.
