Floridix, any good?

Hi guys, following routine blood tests a few weeks ago (only just got results due to midwife mix up) I am apparently slightly aneamic. I cannot take the tablets so was looking for an alternative. Has/does anybody on here take any liquid iron supplements? I have read good reviews about floridix and have been told about one that can be mixed with orange juice. Any opinions?

I was recommended Spartone by my MW in my last pregnancy which you mix with OJ. It was brilliant for me.

By coincidence I am taking floradix tablets at the moment (3rd pregnancy). I was recommended it by a friend after my first was born and my energy levels were depleted. It made a huge difference. I recommended it to DH a few months ago when he was falling asleep at 8pm and popping pro plus all day...he's back to his normal self now. So I rate it quite highly.

I always think these things are worth a shot and if they don't work then try something else.

I prefer Spatone. It's still rank but very effective I find.

Active Iron is fab- doesn't affect my tummy at all, really gentle.

Floradix is great! And Ferroglobin is apparently quite good too.

I took spatone all through my last pregnancy it ran straight through me and I was still aneamic at 32 weeks!

I use Spatone and get the one with apple juice in it as it tastes better and the apple has vit c in it so no need to add orange juice. I did try floradix but didnt notice any difference ans it tastes awful.

my midwife raves about floradix so thats what i got

Mousefunky · 08/08/2018 12:41

I use spatone mixed with some fresh OJ. It’s not the best tasting but I just swig it.

Not liquid but ferroglobin is fab. I don't get on with what the hospital gave me and ferroglobin was alot more gentle on my tummy

Floradix sorted my iron levels out during pregnancy, would highly recommend as the iron tablets did nothing for me!

Nothisispatrick · 08/08/2018 13:03

I love floradix! I've been taking it since about 14 weeks and at my last MW appointment she raved about how good my blood results were. Can't recommend it enough.

I started taking it in my third pregnancy as in my previous 2 pregnancies i had low iron. This time around my iron level was fine. Would recommend
