Hair removal tip

Hi ladies,
If you're like me and terrified of going for a wax but don't want to look like Sasquatch in the delivery room hopefully this will be helpful.
I read loads of things online about which hair removal cream to use in pregnancy. Normal Veet was fine when I wasn't pregnant but it took half my skin off in my first pregnancy.
I'd left myself au naturel in this pregnancy but the Sasquatch look is not for me and I can't see the target area enough to attack it with a razor/trimmer.
I bought this product on Amazon after reading reviews and I used it this morning. It tingled and I did leave it on for the full 10 mins but no skin damage and the fandango is now a hair free zone. I will use it again about 2 weeks before due date.
Happy Tuesday to you all!

Obviously everyone's hair removal choices are up to them, but I do find it sad that our culture is so obsessed with women's pubic hair that we are worrying about it in the delivery room. This is NOT a criticism of OP. I am just as susceptible to this as the next person.

hoppyfarmer · 07/08/2018 10:51

I don't take that as criticism so don't worry about that but this is my fifth pregnancy and 3 have resulted in losses, 2 of which I've had to deliver in hospital without de-fuzzing first and I definitely feel cleaner and less self conscious with less hair downstairs.
My post is just to let those who usually remove their hair outside of pregnancy, as I do, that this cream doesn't burn like the gates of hell. Not to suggest that we should all go into the delivery room with bare fandangos.

Nair sensitive worked well for me and my skin is always reacting to things. I get it at savers it's 2.99.

I'm not into hair removal at all, but the husband is under orders to take a trimmer or the scissors to that area a couple of weeks before due date, purely because shorter hair makes for easier cleanup.

I have been wondering the same thing 😐 I personally have always removed hair and it’s getting to the point that I can’t see the area anymore and feel like I’d feel much cleaner without a huge bush whike delivering. No idea what to actually use 😂

I get sugaring done it's amazing smooth for 4 weeks at a time. I had waxing done with DS which I was so glad I had done because the midwife was about to whip out a razor when they took me to theatre!!

hoppyfarmer · 07/08/2018 17:07

I had an emergency caesarean to deliver my full term stillborn son and they shaved part of the mega bush to do that. SO itchy afterwards. Have always found removal cream regrowth more comfortable.

@hoppyfarmer is this still as pleasant if you accidentally apply it to the err.... more sensitive bits?

Just conscious that my application was a bit poor when I could see what I was doing, let alone now!

hoppyfarmer · 07/08/2018 21:06

I literally filled my hands with it and slapped it on. I am bare Confused but it's too tricky to do anything artistic when you can't see. Blush

I thought you weren't allowed hair removal cream, I ve had to brave the razor with a mirror it works a little 😁

cockneymama2018 · 08/08/2018 10:25

i just blindly stuck a bikini trimmer down there and mowed what I could in the lead up to my due date! purely because it's so hot and bleeding post pregnancy gets messy with a bush :P but did the trick

booandbumpp · 08/08/2018 17:51

I keep thinking about getting bikini line done and then blindly trimming as at only 28 weeks I haven't seen my bajingo in about 4 weeks now. Too scared for waxing now so it may have to be this so I don't look like I'm smuggling a hairy, stray cat into the delivery room!!
