Ladies, thanks for listening. I am having a stressful morning! I am in week 7 and have not stopped temping yet. I MC at 10 weeks in March and wanted to temp until then - don't know why.

Anyway, my temps have all been in the high range until this morning when it plummeted from 36.8 to 36.0. I freaked as you can imagine. I took my temp vaginally and it was a more reassuring 36.7 (I have a bit of a cold and may have been sleeping with my mouth open to breath I thought that might make a difference!)

Does anyone have any expereince that they can share with me?

I am trying to give myself a talking too but I am scared

no experience sorry, but wishing you all the best. keep your chin up.

MrsMcJ - I took my temp this week as I was ill and i thought it would be quite high and it was actually below my coverline. Completely freaked me out but everything is ok.

How are you feeling? Any cramps or are you ok? I'm sure everything will be fine but I do know how anxious these early days are (am right there with you!)

Really hope you are ok lovely one.

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 13:39

Poor you

I am sure it is nothing. But I am sure you will worry like crazy nonetheless

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 15:45

Thanks Scorpio ? you are always so sweet

Beansprout ? thanks hon. Maybe I should have given up, it really has put me in a spin! The Toni Weshcler book does seem to suggest that temps would get progressively lower if a MC was on the way and my software just ignored the drop this morning I?m trying to forget it ever happened but it is hard. Sorry you got a shock earlier in the week too I?m feeling a bit odd today, tired and sick but not crampy, my back is killing me too. Otherwise I?m fine, nothing different to yesterday. Hope you are feeling better?

Thanks VV ? I guess worrying is what we do at this stage!

I completely, utterly understand you wanting (needing) the reassurance that temping should give you. Am sure you are going to be ok. Have been looking out for your posts all afternoon (!), please try not to worry (if that's possible, I'm no expert on not worrying so don't listen to me! )

Oh MrsMcJ I am a master-worrier, so I underastand so well where you are. It's a pity it's the weekend, otherwise you could get a private scan. You think you will make it through Tue somehow? I think MS and back pain is a good sign I had none with mmc, bit I know if was different for you, so not too much reassurance....

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 16:20

Thank you both it's lovely just to be able to discuss it and hear what you have to say.

Hope you are having a lovely time with DH Glimmer

I would believe the temperature of 36.7°C. That's more liketly to be correct.

honeyapple · 01/06/2007 16:26

Hi- just wanted to say that ALL temping info tells you that you are looking for PATTERNS of temp shift... and that a ONE OFF drop in temp is not sufficent to make a difference to your general pattern. I'm sure that you have told me this before!

Have an early night tonight, try and get some good sleep in, and good luck for tommorrow.

Lots of love
xx

beansprout · 01/06/2007 16:41

That's a good reminder honey

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 17:16

Thanks I have googled to try and find info but most of it is about cats and dogs! we'll see what tomorrow beings!

mrsmcj, dont temp, so cant really help but just wanted to give you a big {{hug}}

Pheebe · 01/06/2007 17:34

This may be a daft question but why are you bothering? You're pregnant and its so easy to drive yourself nuts looking for signs that alls OK and that alls not OK. I know, been there done that it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever to the outcome. Sounds harsh but I learnt from bitter experience that if you're going to miscarry there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop it.

Apart from anything else I've never heard of temp changes as a predictor of miscarriage anyway???

I'd strongly suggest you try and relax and take each day as it comes. Congratulations on your pregnancy, try and enjoy it .

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 18:40

Thanks Lissie everything crossed for you tomorrow x

Thanks Pheebe ? I didn?t bother to continue last time and I don?t know why, I just thought I?d feel better if I did this time. You are right, if its going to happen then whats the point of a warning? Apparently your temps are meant to stay high throughout pregnancy due to progesterone and if they start to drop, it can be a sign that you are MC because your levels are falling.

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh and cynical and I do hope all goes well for you. I've had 6 mcs and an ectopic, the first 12 weeks are hell whatever you do and the stress of worrying put a real strain on my marriage as well as my sanity. I now have a 3 year old and another well on the way. You have to believe each time is going to be different and stay strong. It is worth the struggle and the fact that you can get pregnant at all puts you in a really strong position. Keep believing and stop temping

((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

MrsMcJnr · 05/06/2007 19:41

Thanks I do hear where you are coming from. I did temp Sat - Mon and the temps were fine again. I had an 8 week scan today and saw a strong heartbeat and everything as it should be I guess I just had a wobbly day - thank you for helping me through! Thermometer is not coming out again! All the best to you!
