Question about buying bras

Hi

I am 9 weeks yesterday and I don't feel comfortable in the majority of my bras - they just don't seem to have enough support. I have been wearing my sports bras all the time which give support but aren't all that comfortable by the end of the day.

Anyway, I seem to have dramatically outgrown all my bras over the last 2 weeks or so. Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do? I am worried that I will buy a bigger set of bras and then they will be too small and on and on it will go. How much growing will I do!?

Anyone suggestions are greatly appreciated. Buying heaps of different sizes to wear just for a few months seems like a waste of money too.

Hi PB,
Go and get yourself meausered regularly, M&S and Evans do measurement for free and are very helpful, this way you will only have to nuy for the size that you are at the time.
I am 16 weeks and I have already gone up 1 cup size and 2 back sizes. So I deffo know how you feel at the mo.

Thanks for that. I will give M&S a try. I was hoping that someone might be able to suggest a bra that will "grow" into different sizes but I guess I will just have to suck it up and keep buying new ones!

There is such a thing: Bravado bras. They are designed for breastfeeding but no reason why you couldn't wear one in pregnancy. They come in M and L, with plus and double plus options, instead of normal bra sizes. They expand to fit your boobs as they grow, so they cover 2-3 sizes.

Or...really unflattering as they come up very high and show under all your necklines...carriwell seamless maternity bras. They cost £10 and I thought 'yuck' when I saw them at first but they have fitted me throughout (I have gone from a 30E to a 36 G)and are super, super comfortable and soft. All style out the window but really don't care now!Also good for sleeping in when very heavy.

You might find that you won't change that much now until you hit about 36 weeks.

Hello. I am 7 weeks pregnant and just had to buy a maternity bra. It's actually a nursing one but any way. The underwires of my normal bra were getting really uncomfortable and my boobs are already quite sore and tender. This is much better now. Hopefully I won't grow too much because I'm a 34FF as it is! But I don't know because this is my first pregnancy. I'm also a bit concerned about having to keep buying new bras every couple of months because this one cost £28, and I can't afford to keep buying them. Just have to wait and see I guess.
