Daytime sleeping for baby downstairs- options?

Just looking at options for what the baby could potentially sleep in downstairs during the day.
So wondering what people use? We have a cocker spaniel (will be 18 months when baby arrives) so we need to have something off the floor and preferably even off the sofas! Just wondered what people put baby in to sleep in during the day when they are downstairs with the baby - assuming this will actually happen!

Thanks all for your responses! Certainly a lot of options for us to consider and investigate.

We used a next to me crib for our twins. High enough off the sofa so dog couldn’t get in, but low enough that I could reach/see the babies without getting up. One of the dogs used to sleep under it and wake me if they stirred which was quite sweet. We live in a bungalow so just used to carry it through for bed.

Tinylove 3 in 1 napper, brilliant and will out last most bouncy chairs and is a chair and bed so one less thing to fit in.

I'm interested in this too, planning to get one of those Next 2 me cribs for upstairs but don't want to carry it up and down every day so thought about a moses basket for downstairs but after people saying the stands aren't very stable if knocked and also how quickly baby will grow out of it, i'm not so sure Hmm
Now i'm thinking about one of those travel cot/play pens with a snugglehead in it to make baby feel secure when he/she is small. Thought it's very safe and will last until toddler stage also might be handy storage to throw all babies things in out the way when they're not sleeping it it.

A baby chair. She won’t sleep laid flat during the day. Screams in the pram so we use a sling.

Pram carry cot, a poddle pod on the sofa, bouncer chair when she became fussy and would only go to sleep with the vibration on.

DS slept in carrycot of pram so handy
Lasted 5 months. He was most comfy in this and at beginning we carried it upstairs if he was already asleep.

So I have another question sort of related to this. We want to buy a Chico next to be crib for baby for the first six months and am leaning towards getting a BabyMoov or sleepyhead as well. By what about the baby sleeping bag things they sleep in? Surely you wouldn't have one of those as well as a sleepyhead in the crib?! Will be a winter new born so am also unsure as to what they will sleep in clothes wise! So many options! 😳

I didn't use a sleeping bag with DS until 4 months or so- when they start wriggling and kicking off covers really! I doubt you would use it with a sleepyhead you'll only get a few months out of it anyway and baby should be fine with blankets. When they've outgrown sleepyhead use sleeping bags.
