Morning sickness or tummy bug

Hello, looking for a bit of advice if anyone can help! I'm only 5+4weeks pregnant and have been feeling really grotty for the last 4 days- frequently on the loo (horrible mix of constipation but with urgency) and pretty much constant nausea that is accompanied by a dull tummy ache (upper abdomen). Feel completely adverse to food except lemonade and salt and vinegar crisps. I have a 22 month old and haven't been able to look after him at all, and have phoned in sick to work tomorrow. (I work shifts on my feet in a high pressure environment and I can barely lift my head off the pillow today!) I'm not feeling feverish or flu-y at all and have only actually vomited once. I'm just a bit flummoxed as have never had morning sickness properly before - with my DS I had a background queasiness that went away when I ate. The tummy cramps feel a bit more bug-like to me but it is going on a bit! Does this sound like morning sickness to anyone? If it is I think I might be utterly screwed Confused

I felt like that on and off for a while and it was a combination of morning sickness, wind, and pregnancy diarrhoea (no one ever told me about pregnant diarrhoea). The hormones mess up your digestion!

I am exactly the same as what FireAndRain45 describes. I think it’s all part of morning sickness etc.

Sounds like the joy of pregnancy to me. Congratulations!

Thank you for replying! Can't believe this could be pregnancy related- I really took my first easy ride for granted. I just forced myself to eat a bit of dinner (3 chips, the crust from a quiche and half an orange) and feel loads better so maybe that's my answer.
