I'm nearly 7 weeks pregnant and only my husband knows. I've nearly let it slip to my parents and friends I've seen since I found out a few weeks ago but so far I've not told anyone.

I work term time so I don't need to tell my work yet but I'm wondering when other people told others?

My husband doesn't want me to tell anyone until we have our first scan which I can understand.

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, my mum has known since I was 7+3 cause I needed to talk to someone about it all cause this is my first pregnancy. My partner has another son who is 10 but lives in the States and managed to actually speak to him yesterday so he told him yesterday he's having another brother or sister. He was the most important person to know so once he knew we told our immediate family and a select few friends.

I told my closest friends right away and my mother a week or two later. I waited a long time to tell anyone else as I wasn't sure whether I was going to terminate or not. I started telling more distant people (work, colleagues, etc.) around 20 weeks.

@cameltoeflappyflapflap my other half was the complete opposite, he found the whole not telling anyone until 12 week scan, which as far as I'n aware is really common practice, absolutely bazaar. I told my uni as I had to due to being in labs and not being able to use certain chemicals/equipment so I pretty much has to, then 1/2 close friend knew and DP caved in and told him mum/son. By 12 weeks (at which point I dated 13) I was already looking like one too many donuts had made their way to a very specific region, to the extent one of my work colleagues, two days before we let everyone know, patted me on the stomach and said "whats this". Needless to say he spent the next two days feeling absolutely dreadful for "insulting" me. Serves him right too, should think before he speaks!
