I had my 20 weeks scan on Monday at 20+4 and found out we're having a BIG little boy. He's currently measuring at 22 weeks in most places. But I also have 27 weeks worth of AF (off the chart nearly) Shock

I went for a fasting blood test on Tuesday morning with diabetes and infection results coming back negative.

I've got to go back for a growth scan on the 13th August to see if I need to see a consultant about it.

I did the shameful and Googled it Blush and now panicking about premature birth... anyone been in a similar position?

Also feeling HUGE because of it too!

Hi! I was diagnosed with extra fluid at 32 weeks and was also told my baby girl was measuring 2 weeks ahead and would be ‘well over 9lb!!’. I was given lots of growth scans to keep an eye on everything and was under consultant care. Our consultant wanted to induce me at 40weeks which I agreed to, although my waters broke on their own shortly after so I got the pool birth I had originally wanted. When my waters broke there was a LOT of water, literally wooshed everywhere like in films! 😂 And my baby was only 8lb 2 in the end after all. If you can push for consultant appointments then do but please don’t worry or google. My daughter is 3 months old now and absolutely perfect :) the only negatives I found were by the end I was very swollen, my feet my hands etc. I couldn’t get my wedding ring on until 6 weeks after the birth due to the extra fluid! x

I had polyhydramnios with my first pregnancy, it was diagnosed at 20 weeks and I was measuring quite far ahead. I was tested for diabetes and infection all came back negative. I had growth scans right up till the end even the morning my waters broke Grin little one was born with a congenital condition called TOF/OA. We are currently expecting number 2 and have been told by our consultant that extra fluid doesn’t always indicate a Tof child. I would try to relax as chances are it’s just one of those things! Good luck and hope the fluid build up slows down. X
