@Patienceofatoddler nope all they said was take antihistamines for it, wasn't that helpful if I'm honest with you.

@JustVent just ordered a pizza 🙈 I did the cold water last night and it made me feet worse the itch was so unbearable I was crying 🙈

@bettythebutterfly yep it's a boy so you could be right, only concern I have is that I have a girl 7 and a boy 3 and never had this with my son at all both pregnancies were so smooth compared to this one!

Pizza! Good for you!

I’m sorry to hear that cold water didn’t work.
I’ve got PUPPP and it’s utterly torturous. My feet are covered and it’s creeping up my legs. My whole body was covered when I was pregnant with DS2.
Being itchy is horrible.

JustVent · 19/07/2018 17:02

Ah cross post. Bettythebutterfly has just described PUPPP.
I’m having a boy as well. My last two were boys. It’s more prevalent in boy pregnancies.

However, you would have a nasty rash with it. Like this.

@JustVent oh my lord that looks so sore I just spoke to my mind wife and she said dissolve some bicarbonate of soda from cooking isle in cool water and dab it on were it's itchy I will try it later that looks painful

It’s honestly not even slightly painful.
It’s an allergic rash, so the feeling is utterly torturous itching like you would not believe.

NoNoCharlieRascal · 19/07/2018 21:02

I don't know if it will work but when my eczema gets unbearable I slap it. The sting takes it itch away.

jellycat · 19/07/2018 21:07

PUPPP is on forearms, thighs and bump not on feet hands so much, so unlikely to be that. Glad everything came back clear OP; hope they are going to keep an eye on it though. You can take Piriton in during pregnancy so you could try that if it gets really bad (although it might not respond, depends on the cause).

jellycat · 19/07/2018 21:10

Oh @JustVent, poor you, how long have you got to go? I had it for about a week pre-birth and was climbing the walls with the itching!

JustVent · 19/07/2018 21:18

JellyCat Im 17 weeks, and had it since 15/16 weeks.
With DS2 I didn’t get it until the third trimester and it started on my bump.
This time it’s started on my ankles and making its way up.
It’s not as common that way, it’s usually far more common ok the bump but clearly this little one is doing things differently!

jellycat · 19/07/2018 22:37

@JustVent you have my sympathy! I only had it for a week although I had already been hideously itchy for 3 weeks prior to that with a (different) severe allergic reaction (to my support belt). The joys of pregnancy!
