Nursing bras

Just looking for some advice on where is best to buy nursing bras.
I'm almost due, never bf before, bra size of 34B (at best) and would ideally like a sort of tshirt bra so slight padding, and also as cheap and cheerful! Been looking online but can never really tell what's a good go to, so asking for personal opinions! Smile

I looked at tons online, had no idea what I'd find comfy so went to try them on. Glad I did! What I thought I wanted I didn't! I then bought some online from mothercare I think? Thankfully still fitted once my milk came in and kinda settled (1 week of squeezing those bad boys in!)
You'll be hard pushed to find a padded one, what with all the leeks when you're feeding from one side, or when you're due a feed. Would soak it all up and it's not very pleasant or hygienic unless you want to change every time!
You can buy washable reusable nursing pads which are more like padding, and swap them out when needed. I think the disposable ones aren't as thick.
But nursing pads are a must either way.
Good luck!

Don't buy any now. Wait until your milk has come in. I made that mistake. Buy some of the H & M nursing tops, which are very supportive and you will probably wear to bed to tide you over. Then get fitted at John Lewis about 1-2 weeks after you've given birth. If you can get out of the house!

Just get some crop style sleeping bra things - the type that come in small, medium or large for now. Then once your boobs have settled go and try lots on. I'm a small B cup and... stayed a small B cup for a whole year of feeding. It was really annoying! I ended up living in triangle bras and just pulling it down. I bought quite a lot of different nursing bras and the only one I sort of liked/didn't hurt in some way was a slightly padded John Lewis crop top style one.

Thank you for your advice, I hadn't actually thought about that with the padding! Will probably just get a sports type one for now and then all being well when baby arrives take a trip to the shops with DH whilst he has paternity and get fitted out

Get measured at m&s and then buy online. Loads cheaper. Also only get 1 or 2 now as your boobs will change!! Mine got huge! So had to buy more after.

I got 2 cotton ones in the sake at m&s for £15. Then bought some off amazon after for £12 xx
