I'm beside myself with worry.

I'm just over 13 weeks pregnant and tonight started getting some mild cramps (which I get most days) then followed a big fish of bright red blood then when I wiped there were clots 😔

My midwife number only works between 8.30-4pm so I rang the pregnancy unit at the hospital and they said best to wait until the morning and ring the midwife then.

I'm petrified the worst is happening.

Please someone give me some hope?

So glad you had some good news - keeping everything crossed for you moving forward. I was diagnosed with a large subchorionic haemmorage at about the same stage in pregnancy that you are, and against the odds am now 31 weeks pregnant and can feel him kicking as we type. Good luck for the scan tomorrow Thanks

Hoping everything is ok! A lot of women have an unknown bleed in pregnancy around this time, keep positive! Thanks

Ttc is a minefield. Flowers

I really feel for you. Disappointed that you weren't able to go to a maternity unit at the hospital last night.
It could be a pocket of blood left from implantation that has gone pop.
Wishing you a successful pregnancy. X

Hoping all works out for you and your family, good luck

Hope everything works out ok xx

I'd bet my house on a subchorionic haematoma. I had one that bled from 12-20 weeks. Baby is snuggling on my chest right now!

Best wishes OP Flowers my sister has gone through three rounds of IVF and I know how gruelling it is. Prayers for a happy healthy pregnancy and safe delivery for you.

So so glad you have a heartbeat. Fingers crossed for scan - please update. All the best!

Condragulations · 19/07/2018 19:13

Hope you’re ok OP Flowers

MarthaMe · 19/07/2018 19:21

Thank you for asking @Condragulations

I had my scan today, baby is doing well thankfully!
I haemorrhaged which caused the big bleed, there's still a mass so said it could happen again. At least I'll be prepared for it next time even though it will be frightening again. At least my baby is ok and that's the main thing

Well I'm sorry you've had to go through all that but that's great that baby is happy Thanks

Condragulations · 19/07/2018 19:47

Thank goodness for that! Hope it doesn’t happen again but at least you’ve got the foresight now if it does and such lovely news to hear your baby is doing ok in there! Pregnancy is such a stressful time. Hope the rest of the pregnancy is very uneventful for you!

surreygirl1987 · 19/07/2018 21:53

Oh good! So glad!!

hairymoragthebampot · 20/07/2018 01:01

What a relief OP!

jazzyfizzles · 20/07/2018 12:10

Ah excellent news!
They are a worry, my maternity assessment unit were brilliant, I suffer with bad anxiety and they were always happy for me to pop in and have a listen into babies heart, if there's a next time I wouldn't hesitate just go straight there for your own peace of mind! ThanksThanks

whyme2018 · 20/07/2018 12:16

Flowers That must have been horrible. Hang in there!

MarthaMe · 20/07/2018 15:37

Thank you everyone. I'm hoping the next 6 months are stress free!!! 😊

Pleased to hear all is well. Some people have babies like shelling peas but sadly not all of us. Best of luck. X

Hi all - anyone who went through this, how long did your bleeding last afterwards? Mine stopped pretty much a day after passing the clot about 2 weeks ago. But it's started up again a few days ago, light & brownish in colour.
I went to the MAC on Saturday & after a speculum inspection the midwife said the bleeding was probably residual & listened to the baby's heartbeat which was all good.
I'm just feeling really anxious & the bleeding is starting to make me feel really down.
This thread made me feel a lot better knowing you guys experienced the same thing & things were still ok!
