Pram recommendations

Am looking for pram recommendations as am currently overwhelmed by the sheer number available on the market.

My requirements are:

  • I live in London so needs to work well on public transport but equally I live by lots open space so also needs to work off-road. Nothing too heavy duty but would need to work ok in woods
  • light, so I can carry up and down tube stairs if needs be
  • i have quite a narrow doorway and not a huge house so nothing too big
  • needs to be suitable from newborn/ or adaptable to newborn
  • no real budget constraints but don't want to spend money just for the sake of it looking fancy!

So far I like the Bugaboo Bee 5 plus the City Jogger Mini GT but I'm concerned the Bugaboo won't do off-road and the jogger will be too big.

Can anyone share their wisdom?

I don't think there's one that does both of the things you need. Personally I'd get a bsbyzen yo-yo or bugaboo bee for in the city and another for the woods, probably an out n about nipper but use a sling for the first few months.

I don’t know how heavy it would be, but the Cosatto Ooba might be worth a look:

I live in London but also close to woods, huge park and a common... Not bought pram yet but friends who live nearby rave about uppababy cruz

I've just bought a mountain buggy terrain. It seemed to be the best one for my criteria of being good for about town, taking off road and running with. I'm not sure how it would be for on public transport because that wasn't a consideration for me but I think it is smaller than a lot of the running/off road buggies. It comes with 2 sets of wheels, one for about town and bigger ones for off road.

We're about to move house so haven't taken it out of the box to put together yet so can't give you my opinion on it I'm afraid!

My friend has an uppababy cruz and said she wouldn't recommend it.

I’ve had so many pushchairs, I candy, bugaboo, uppababy, city mini.

I LOVE our Cruz, does well in the city and gentle off roading like woods or farm land. Also loved the city mini but very low handle.

Would probably get the baby jogger GT if i were you, good for off reading and folds small. Smile

(Or relatively small)

Thank you for your replies everyone. I think the Uppbaby Cruz looks like a great option for us.
