Has anybody experienced baby not growing during pregnancy? I'm really worried and would be nice to have someone to talk to as it's my first pregnancy and I'm 29+4

What makes you think it's not growing properly? x

My friend had this and her baby was born by caesarean at 34 weeks weighing 3lb 12oz. She's now a happy healthy 3 year old. Try not to worry too much and remember you're already getting the best possible care.

Do you know fordefinite baby is not growing? Ask for a scan to check development. Any other problems, like reduced movement?

Yip I’m 33 weeks and have the same thing, not growing plus high blood flow from placenta, going to private scan on sat then back to see consultant on Monday to discuss steroid injection incase of early delivery, have they said anything along those lines to you? It’s so hard not to worry x

They told my friend that her baby wasn't growing. They said it was 5lbs and they needed to induce her. The baby ended up being 6lbs 7oz so the growth scan was massively wrong anyway!

Yep! I had reduced movements and a baby that stopped growing combined with high pressure in the cord. Was given steroid injections at 32 weeks, failed induction at 34 weeks ended in cesarian and a 4lb 4 baby. She had plummeted from the 90th centile to being born at below the 25th but is now a healthy 6 week old (even if jaundice has given us some scares!)
