Hi

I am thinking of buying a doomoo and was wondering if anyone has had one or used one and if they are any good?

Never seen em before. Odd.

A friend of mine has one for her baby! I reckon they look so comfortable and are a great alternative to the traditional bouncy chair

They look like a beanbag with a harness.

I love beanbags.

Yeah I wanted the Oeuf bouncy chair but Lula Sapphire has discontinued them and I can't get one. These were my 2nd choice and they look good as they will last for longer than the traditional bouncy chair. They go up to 4 years as they come with 2 covers.

Yes, we've got one! Not cheap but great for newborns in the first few months before they decide to start rolling around. My dd hated those rocking chairs and I was for ever trying to find something she liked lying on - resorted to sheepskin on floor which was fine. However, when ds came along, these had just come out and they're really nice, very comfy for the baby and by not being on the floor, dd didn't trip over or stand on him!

They become a bit redundant between about 4 and 12 months. My ds has just started using it again - he's coming up to a year, cruising around and loves plonking himself down on it. Dd aged 3 also loves it and they are now fighting over who sits in it. You get a cover with a harness thing to hold them in whilst very young and then a plain cover for when they are older and don't need to be strapped in.

Btw, you can now get Fatboy beanbags for kids too - not suitable for babies but great for older kids. Not cheap but very funky - you can buy them much cheaper online from Holland and even with delivery they're cheaper than buying from the UK.

I have one but I think it becomes redundant after a month or so. At first it was great to put the buba in when i was in the shower/bath etc but as soon as they start to require a bit of amusement it is no good. I ended up buying a Chicco chair (Chicco Relax & Play Rocker, Hawaii) that reclines and has hanging toys, she will happily play in this for 45 mins before falling asleep. I love it!

Fantastic bit of kit!
Great for newborn naps around the house, then have to be aware that a rolling baby will roll straight out - so keep an eye on them and place on a soft carpeted floor.
I didn't use mine for a few weeks post-rolling, but then used it again once my child was several months old and had stopped rolling.
She has used it for naps, television and aged 5 for reading. It is the most used baby item we have ever bought.
