When did you first see a midwife? (Second pregnancy)

Just wondering when people first saw a midwife?

This is my second pregnancy, I'm 8 weeks exactly.
I'm classed as high risk because I use a wheelchair full time and I have a high BMI.

On my first pregnancy it seemed like I was seen very quickly by a midwife after I had seen my GP, but it was ten years ago so difficult to remember how many weeks I was.

Would you say this is normal? If so it'll put my mind at ease.

With my first pregnancy I went through GP and got an appointment for 10weeks. Same again with my second.

This time I self referred and a week later got an appointment for when I'm 7 weeks. Don't know if it's cos I've self referred or due to previous ectopic so they want to see me a little earlier.

In my first pregnancy I had a booking appointment at about 9 weeks and scan date was given to me at the appointment. This time round the booking appointment and scan are done on the same day, so no bloods or anything done until 12 weeks!

Sounds very different across the country then. I live in a fairly rural area, but they see a lot of women due to having so few facilities and staff, so I think I'll wait until I'm 10 weeks and give the GP surgery a call to make double sure they're aware of my medical history and that in my last pregnancy I was consultant-led, so it's likely I'll need a referral.

I know I had my first scan on DC1 at ten weeks and definitely saw a midwife before then.

I'm such an impatient person, I drive myself nuts.
