I’m looking at some of the bedside cribs as I don’t really like Moses baskets and was just wondering if you could give me some ideas of which ones you have and prefer.
Thanks in advance x

Where do people buy their Chicco next to me sheets? The own brand ones are quite expensive!

Seahawk80 · 30/06/2018 07:32

I got some cheaper chicco sheets on amazon, can't remember the brand now but I just checked the dimensions when I bought them

I had a second hand babybay. I loved it, took a few weeks before my baby would sleep in it but it worked in the end. I felt more comfortable with a completely wood crib second hand rather than one with any fabric because you can clean it better.

You can now buy a complete set of the fixings to put the cot together including the bits that clip onto the bed so if you buy a slightly wonky one second hand you can replace any bits that aren’t working.

The Tutti Bambini Cozee is really fab, my 5 month old is still happily in it. It has quite a big height adjustment range, tilts and is so easy to pack up and take places as a travel cot. One tip though, the branded mattress protector and sheets for it are crap and shrink, there are better compatible ones on Amazon for a third of the price.

@chipsandcurrysaucemonster I’m being very swayed by the chicco next to you at the moment. I do love the look of the cozee and the snuzpod and think they are all fab for different reasons. But they are a little bit more expensive and won’t fit as easily into my little space between my bed and wardrobe. I’m so pleased everyone loves these styles though and these are some great reviews on them x

We had a next to me, was sad when he eventually grew out of it and had to go into his own room! Which was when he was about a week shy of 6 months, and he was a big, long baby. We looked at the Snuzpod but didn't seem big enough, and glad we went for the next to me. Packed it up and took it away with us a few times as well

CanaBanana · 30/06/2018 18:39

I have a Snuzpod. It was the most stylish looking and the slimmest to fit at the side of my bed. If it's attached to the bed it won't rock so I have it free standing. DS is 90th centile (very big!) and still fits in it aged 5 months.

You can take the top downstairs to use during the day but it's quite heavy and impossible to carry if you end up having a c-section. I found it easier to leave the Snuzpod in the bedroom and buy a travel crib for downstairs (which I'll use for holidays and as a playpen too). Don't bother buying special sheets - buy full size toddler bed sheets and fold them in half, then you can still use them when baby moves into a bigger bed.

I bought these sheets from mothercare, 2 pack for £8. They fit perfectly.

Chicco next to me here too. Can tilt it, take it away, sleepyhead fits in it and I just use flat cot bed sheets on it. It’s now on its second baby and looks like new and DD1 was prem so in it for about 10/11 months.

I was trying to choose a bedside crib and went to look in Mothercare a few days ago. A new snuzpod3 has now been released that can be tilted for reflux. It is also wider than the snuzpod2 and supposedly lighter.

I am trying to decide this new model and the tutti bambini now.
