Consultant won't induce even though I have had multiple reduced movements

I posted on here this morning before my appointment with consultant and I've had that now and the consultant has refused induction even though from 25 weeks I've had 5 cases of reduced movements 4 being after 32 weeks and I've had monitoring everyday for the past 9 days( put in place by another consultant) and only 4 of those 9 days weren't reduced. He said because he's happy with the baby's scans and ctg reports he is leaving her in there and maybe she just has an attitude when it comes to moving ( yes his actual words) ! Am I wrong to think they should be getting her out regardless of the reports and scans simply due to the amount of reduced movements or should I be happy with his decision and relax? I can't help but feel he is wrong as the midwifes up triage said to me they are confident I'll be induced ect

Can you speak to your midwife and see about speaking to another consultant?
I am surprised they aren't inducing. Anecdotally through a couple of friends and threads on here I thought they induced at term for repeated reduced movements.

When you say that only 4 days aren't reduced do you mean reduced on the ctg or that you aren't feeling the movements?

Drs are very risk averse and will generally prefer an intervention over a risk of intrauterine death or stillbirth so he must have good reasons. Will you continue to be monitored every day? I'd suggest asking for a second opinion of the Dr who advised daily monitoring.

I no longer have the monitoring put In place and it's a case of just going back up if she is reduced again which even he seemed weird about and the woman in the room with him said trust your instinct ect.
And @Girlwiththearabstrap by this big menabibhavent felt her the other 5 days all the ctgs have always come back good but I didn't think they just go on that. He said when a woman is experiencing reduced movements they do certain tests so the further scans and monitoring and because I've had that and everything has been okay they arnt inducing even though I've had more than 10 lots of reduced movements this pregnancy 3 have been since Saturday just gone when I turnt 37 weeks! I feel like he has shrugged me off and hopefully if I go back up to maternity triage with reduced movements again if they happen again then I will see another consultant as I'm sure they always come round before you go home

I'm still confused by what you're saying. But it seems that you consider movement to be reduced, but the CTG has always been ok? Indeed if they've stopped the daily CTG monitoring they must be convinced that the baby is fine.

I understand you just want your baby to be here safely. But induction is not something to take lightly. If a baby is induced when they're not ready to be born there is a good chance they will get distressed and you'll end up having a crash section which is no fun believe me.
